If you’re running non-stock tire sizes and/or rear gear ratios, Hy-pertech’s Speedometer Calibrator can correct the speedometer and odometer for tires up to 54 inches (depending on application). This new device is engineered for the consumer that wants the speed-ometer recalibration functions of the Max Energy™ Power Program-mer, but without the additional expense of the other tuning features. The Speedometer Calibrator also comes with a USB cable and a CD containing software to enable quick updates and upgrades over the internet.

Simply plug Hypertech’s Speedometer Calibrator programmer into the vehicle’s under-dash connector, select the tire height and/or new rear gear ratio, and in a matter of minutes, the vehicle’s computer is reprogrammed for accurate speedometer and odometer readings (as required by law). In addition, Hypertech’s Speedometer Calibrator reads and clears Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). This allows owners to view detailed information about the vehicle’s operation without having to purchase expensive diagnostic computers or scanners used by dealership tech-nicians.

The Inline Speedometer Calibrator is engineered for the consumer that wants an easy plug-n-play module to correct the speedometer and odometer for all tires sizes and gear ratios. The Speedometer Calibrator inline module comes with a USB cable and a CD containingsoftware to enable accurate tire and gear recalibrations and quick updates over the internet.

How does it work? The provided software lets you dial in the tire and gear changes before you install the module. Using the USB cable connect the inline Speedometer Calibrator module to your PC and run the “Tire Configuration Application” to enter your new tire height and rear gear ratio. Next, the Speedometer Calibrator module just connects inline with your factory wiring harness behind the dash. You simply disconnect the factory connector to the instrument cluster, snap in the Speedometer Calibrator, reconnect the cluster, and you’re done! In a matter of minutes, you can accurately correct your speedometer and odometer readings (as required by law).
