MOBILITY FAIR [for partner universities & USMB students and staff members] Date: Wednesday 16 October 2019 Time: from 2:30pm to 4:30pm Venue: Le Bourget-du-Lac campus, « espace EVE » (building n°6)

Come and meet students and staff members of Université Savoie Mont Blanc and do some networking with members of about 40 foreign institutions who attend the international week 2019. Each partner university will be allocated a specific booth to promote its institution and discuss with the students.

[PARTNER DAY 1]

USEFUL INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS SCHEDULE:

• 1:30pm: Welcome drink for partner universities staff members and set up of booth

• 2:30pm: Launch of the mobility fair • 4:30pm: End of the mobility fair • 4:45pm: Shuttle bus back to your hotel in Chambéry • 5:00pm: Arrival at your hotel

EQUIPMENT: Each participating university will be allocated a booth composed of:

• 1 rectangle table • 2 chairs • 1 exhibition grid

We advise you to bring some documentation about your university and decoration for your booth. For example, a kakemono and a few brochures would be a perfect solution. « INTERNATIONAL EVE » [for partner universities & USMB international students] Date: Wednesday 16 October 2019 Time: from 7:00pm to 11:00pm Venue: Le Phare—Chambéry

In collaboration with the city of Chambéry and the Chambéry Handball Club, Université Savoie Mont Blanc is organising an international evening to welcome students and international partners of USMB. On the agenda: official welcome by the Mayor of Chambéry and the President of USMB, participation in the Chambéry-Chartres handball match, cocktail reception and private evening for students and international partners of USMB in the VIP area.

The Chambéry handball team is the winner of the 2019 French Cup. Université Savoie Mont Blanc has been ranked top French university for its outgoing mobility in the framework of Erasmus+. The city of Chambéry has been ranked by the magazine l'Etudiant 2nd French middle-sized city where it is good to study.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION DAYS [for partner universities & USMB staff members] Designed to strengthen the links between our institution and its international partners, these "partner days" are aimed at international universities staff members as well as administrative and teaching staff of Université Savoie Mont Blanc. Participants will be able to meet their most loyal partners and/or develop relationships with new university representatives from some thirty countries around the world. Between 50 and 80 representatives of foreign universities usually visit USMB during its international week to better understand its organisation and meet its staff and students. After the mobility fair (on Wednesday), Thursday and Friday will be devoted to visiting campuses, faculties and laboratories and holding workshops to exchange best practices on INTERNATIONALISATION OF UNIVERSITIES.

• BEST PRACTICES EXCHANGE WORKSHOP 1 Date: Thursday 17 October 2019 Time: from 2:30pm to 4:30pm

Venue: USMB Jacob-Bellecombette campus, building n°20 The internationalisation of academic studies and research is a strong point at USMB, a powerful tool for development and an important element of its reputation. USMB is regularly ranked among the best universities in France for its outgoing mobility, as proved by its Erasmus ranking (Number 1 University in France for its outgoing mobility since 2008/2009). The reputation of a university where students do not hesitate to go abroad for further training is well established. It is necessary to maintain this result which, beyond the reputation itself, is of real benefit to its students. A university on a human scale, USMB offers services, courses and research opportunities which should guarantee the best level of integration for international students into our university. However, USMB results on incoming mobility, while at a good level, are lower than those obtained for outgoing mobility. USMB suffers from a general lack of awareness abroad of the opportunities it offers. To counteract this problem, USMB has been working in different directions for several years. Staff members of USMB will present you some of their good practices on internationalisation. They will share with you some innovative ways to develop middle-sized universities attractivity and visibility on the international scene, etc.

Venue: USMB Annecy campus (exact place to be confirmed) In the institutions where you come from, you may also have set up innovative projects that allow your university to be more visible and attractive on the international scene. Some of you will thus present examples of such good practices: promotion of students and staff exchanges, internationalisation at home, research intensive based course offering, position in international rankings, etc.
