On behalf of fellow or-

Please check the schedule carefully, as we have our tra-ditional conference events, but some of them are in new time slots. The IBABC AGM takes place on Wednesday afternoon, and the golf tournament takes place Thursday morning. Also on Thursday, our Awards Luncheon will fea-ture a surprise appearance that you won’t want to miss. The President’s Gala Dinner and Dance is Thursday eve-ning. On Friday morning, industry leaders discuss Readi-ness, Response & Recovery; then Tod Maffin and Steve Dotto talk technology at the Networking Luncheon and the Trade Show takes place in one action-packed after-noon. Read on and enjoy!

hello and welCome!
As an InTerIor b.C. bro-
Ker I am particularly pleased to host the industry in this beautiful part of the province. I look forward to reuniting with members and industry friends while we all enjoy the first-class program that the com-mittee has arranged. While you’re here, take in the city. You’re close to parks, lake promenades, galleries, muse-ums, restaurants and shopping.
Members, I urge you to attend the Annual General Meet-ing on Wednesday at 1:30 pm, when issues that affect you as a broker will be discussed and the direction of the as-sociation will be determined. Your input is what makes this association strong.
Thank you, sponsors, exhibitors and prize donors, for your generous support. Your contributions help make this event a success, year after year.

Friday, May 11, 9 – 12:30pm Meet In The Hotel Lobby
Kelowna is renowned for producing some of the best cheeses, wines and market-garden produce in the prov-ince, and this tour takes in the best of these local legends.
On Friday, guests will be picked up at the Grand and taken on a tour of the Carmelis goat Cheese artisan farm, a European-style, family-run dairy that produces organic cheeses and gelato. This charming farm and dairy – located
near Okanagan Lake and with a fantastic view of the valley – uses all-natural techniques learned in France to produce some of the best cheeses in the region.
The next stop on your tour: Pioneer Country market. This quaint country market carries a variety of locally pro-duced foodstuffs like fresh-baked apple pies, preserved peaches, and home-made borscht.
Directly adjacent to the Pioneer Country Market is sper-ling vineyards, where Ann Sperling crafts elegant award-winning wines of character on her family-owned estate – the first vine-yard to be planted in Kelowna.
After you’ve sampled an Old Vines Riesling or a Late-Harvest Pinot Gris, head back to the Grand in time for the Networking Buffet Lun-cheon and Trade Show.
Friday, May 11, 8pm – Midnight
Join the party! You will find your access badge in your conference kit. And remember, venues are a “work in progress” so check for any posted signs on Friday evening around the registration desk indicating room changes.
