2017 Eagle Band Design Team Program Coordinator Keith William Dunton is an International music clinician, freelance musician, and marching arts producer living in Los Angeles, CA. He holds a degree in Bachelor of Music: Trumpet Performance from St. Olaf College and is a voting member of the National Arts, Recording & Sciences (NARAS) in songwriting, composing and engineering. 2015 He was the Program coordinator to: BOA St. George Regional Champion American Fork, UT HS, BOA St. Louis Super Regional 5th Place Finalist & YIM Champion Eden Prairie, MN HS, BOA St. George 2A Class Champion Loveland, CO HS, and the Western Band Association combined 1/2/3A Champion Cerritos, CA HS. He also worked with BOA Semi Finalist Homestead, CA HS as their program consultant. Keith worked in Taiwan for a 4th time at the TMBA camp in August as a music arranger, clinician, and staff coordinator. He also recently worked with three premier primary school music programs in Beijing in marching arts music and worked with The Chongqing police band in Chongqing China. www.designbykeith.com Arranger/Composer John works with the Blue Devils organization as Brass Caption Head/Arranger for the 17 time D.C.I. Champion A™ Corps, as well as Music Director and Arranger for the B™ and B™ Corps. Since joining the staff in 1994, John has helped the A Corps win 11 D.C.I. Championships and 12 Jim Ott High Brass Awards. John has been composing and arranging since 1992. Current clients include Allen High School (TX), American Fork High School (UT), Clements High School (TX), Eden Prairie High School (MN), Homestead High School (CA), and the Yokohama Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps (Japan), while past clients include Ayala High School (CA), James Logan High School (CA), McQueen High School (NV), and the Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps. Clients of Johnâ™s have won numerous State marching band titles, as well as Bands of America Regionals, and been finals at the Bands of American Grand National Championships. Other non-pageantry writing includes composing for the album "The Music of WYLAND", scoring the film "œMind Games", writing two spots for Kaiser Permanente, and being commissioned to compose several wind ensemble pieces. Notable career achievements include lead designer for both the System Blue and King marching brass instrument series, development and production for the Sample Logic and System Blue sound libraries, and performing (as a percussionist) on the movie soundtrack âœMonsters Universityâ. John is a Conn-Selmer and System Blue artist, and exclusively uses Sibelius. John lives in California with his wife Jackie, their 3 daughters, and two rescue dogs. Front Ensemble Arrange Drill Design Jaime Holly is a full time drill designer and visual instructor living in Long Beach, CA with his wife Rebekah and daughter Parker. He began his marching career in the soprano line of the Concord Blue Devil B Corps in 1989, moving to the World Champion A Corps in 1991 through 1993. He returned to the Blue Team in 1997 where he is currently a visual instructor and drill writer. His affinity for mathematical problems can be traced through his BS from Fresno State in Math. Jaime earned a teaching credential from Cal State Hayward and was a math teacher at James Logan High School before he decided to give it up for the fame and fortune of drill writing. Jaime is the visual caption head and designer for several award winning high schools in BOA and WBA, as well as independent non-profit organizations in DCI and WGI. He has also served on the DCI Task Force. Currently, he has the pleasure of working with the Soka Renaissance Vanguard from Tokyo, Japan. Some of the groups he has had the opportunity to work with are: Blue Coats Drum and Bugle Corps, Mystikal Drum and Bugle Corps, Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, Upland High School, Fountain Valley High School, Legacy High School, Haltom High School, Colleyville Heritage High School, Desert Vista High School, Winston Churchill High School, Clovis West High School, James Logan High School, Freelancers Indoor Drumline, Black Knights Indoor Drumline, and the El Diamonte Indoor Colorguard. Visual Coordinator Jessica Froyen is originally from Golden, Colorado but now lives in the Salt Lake City area. She has been working as a color guard director in public education for over 7 years. She has taught at: Air Academy High School, Bingham High School, Bear Creek High School, Legacy High School, and Wheat Ridge High School. Jessica's ensembles have been awarded several state championships both in 5a Marching Band Competition, and Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association. Legacy High School also had the honor of performing in the 2011 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade under the color guard direction of Jessica Froyen. She has also been an active member of Winter Guard International (WGI) hosting the Denver Regional, and organizing a trip with Bear Creek High School Winter Guard. Bear Creek High School placed 16 out of 103 High Schools from across the nation and won the Denver WGI Regional. Prior to teaching, Jessica was a member of several color guards and dance ensembles; performing with Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, Oracle Dance Ensemble, Alchemy Winter Guard, Nova Winter Guard, and Signature Winter Guard. Guard Design Jared graduated from Hastings High School in 2005. He attended college at the University of Minnesota and continued his marching career with Minnesota Brass ('05, '06, '08, '09, '10, and '16), True North Winterguard ('13), and Lux Winterguard ('14). Jared has choreographed and taught numerous colorguard programs throughout Minnesota including Minnesota Brass Drum Corps, MBI Winterguard, Lux Winterguard, Champlin Park High School, and Elk River High School. He currently serves on the North Star Colorguard Circuit Board of Directors. Jared joined the Eden Prairie program in 2010, this will be his 14th season directing the colorguard program. Front Ensemble Arranger/ Sound design Craig Myers is an active percussion educator, clinician, composer, and arranger from Minneapolis, MN. 2013 will mark his third season as Front Ensemble Coordinator for the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, as well as designing and educating for Minnesota Brass Indoor (PIW), Eden Prairie High School, and Waconia High School. He also educates a studio of twenty young percussionists through private lessons, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Percussion Association. As a performer, Craig received First Place in the 2009 St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra Young Performers Concerto Competition and is a recipient of the David Swenson Scholarship for Percussion. He has performed as a world finalist with several marching ensembles including Rhythm X (2008 WGI PIW World Champions), The Cadets Drum and Bugle Crops (Allentown, PA), and the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps (Canton, OH), along with numerous percussion and wind ensembles throughout the state of Minnesota. His notable endeavors include: performing with the orchestra for the Merce Cunningham Dance Group’s Production of “Ocean”, which the LA Times described as “One of the Top Ten Musical Events of 2008”, and participating in the Northwestern University 2009 Percussion Symposium.Craig received his Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from St. Cloud State University under the guidance of Dr. Terry Vermillion, and Erik Barsness. He has received instruction from artists such as She-E Wu, Michael Burritt, Marta Klimasara, Anders Åstrand, Bob Becker, James Ross, Chris Lamb, Mark Damolakos, and Cynthia Yeh. Battery Percussion Arrange Joe Asleson is a marching percussion educator and designer from Minneapolis, MN. 2013 will mark his second year as snare technician for the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps. He currently serves as the Battery Caption Head and Arranger at Eden Prairie High School for the group’s marching band as well as Battery Arranger and Visual Designer for their PSO ensemble, currently heading into their second year. Joe is also starting his fourth year on staff with Minnesota Brass Indoor (PIW) as snare technician, and this year he adds the role of Visual Coordinator. He has instructed at various high schools in Minnesota and offers private lessons to several students in the Twin Cities area. In 2008 Joe performed with the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps, serving as snare section leader for his age-out season. He also performed with Music City Mystique (2009 bronze medalist) as a member of the snareline. His performing career started and ended with Minnesota Brass Drum & Bugle Corps (2005-2006, 2009-2010) where he was section leader for the 2010 season, earning high percussion honors. Joe has had the privilege of learning from great instructors such as Roger Carter, Casey Brohard, Tim Maynard, Carl Eppler, Joe Hobbs, Shane Gwaltney, Mike Ferry and Joel Matuzak.
