Governor Hardwick~ I had originally opposed women’s suffrage, but I now believe it’s right to extend the right to vote to women. NEWS FEED October 3, 1922~ Gov. Thomas Hardwick appoints her to be senator. The death of Tom Watson gives her an opportunity. November 21, 1922
