PROFILE OF DIRECTORS

YBhg Tan Sri Nik Mohamed, 59, a Malaysian, is a Non-IndependentNon-Executive Director and the Chairman of the Company. He wasappointed to the Board on 23 September 2005.

YBhg Tan Sri Nik Mohamed holds an Engineering Degree from theMonash University and a Master in Business Management from theAsian Institute of Management. He served as the Group Chief Executiveof Sime Darby Berhad from 1993 until his retirement in June 2004,and also served on the Board of many of the Sime Darby Groupcompanies during this time.

He has held various senior positions in the RoyalMalaysian Navy including Fleet Operations Commander in the rank ofRear Admiral, Deputy Chief of Navy and Assistant Chief of Staff of theMalaysian Armed Forces HQ, and was promoted to the rank of ViceAdmiral on assuming the position of Chief of Staff, Malaysian ArmedForces HQ in 1994 before retiring from the Royal Malaysian Navy inDecember 1995.

Dato’ Haris Onn, 43, a Malaysian, is an Independent Non-ExecutiveDirector of the Company. He was appointed to the Board on 5 April 2006.

Dato’ Haris Onn graduated from the Cambridge University, UnitedKingdom, with a Bachelor of Art Degree in Economics. He started hisworking career with Touche Ross & Co, London, an accounting firm, in 1989. In 1992, he returned to Malaysia to work with D & C SakuraMerchant Bankers Berhad (now known as RHB Investment Bank Berhad)and subsequently joined Rohas Sdn Bhd as the General Manager. He then became a Director of Bell & Order Berhad (now known as Scomi Engineering Bhd) in 1996. Currently, he is the Managing Directorof Konsortium Lebuhraya Utara-Timur KL Sdn Bhd and the Chairman of Lembah Sari Sdn Bhd.

Dato’ Meer Sadik Habib, 46, a Malaysian, is a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. He was appointed to theBoard on 19 November 1997 following the corporate exercise inwhich he played an instrumental role.

Dato’ Meer graduated from the Wichita State University, United States of America, with a Degree in Business Administration, and laterqualified as a gemmologist from the Gemmological Institute of America.He was responsible for the development of the jewellery businesspreviously undertaken by the Company and for its listing on the MainBoard of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

He is a Past President of the Young Entrepreneurs Organisation and was the Governor of the Alice Smith School. He was appointed as Honorary Secretary of Malaysian Retailers Association in 2007.

Mr Mok, 48, a Malaysian, is an Independent Non-Executive Director ofthe Company. He was appointed to the Board on 29 March 2002.

Mr Mok graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science from the Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, and joined Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) in 1982, where he trained and qualified as aChartered Accountant. Currently, he is the Regional Executive Directorof Horwath International for the Asia Pacific region overseeing 22countries, and Country Managing Partner for Horwath in Malaysia, a professional firm which he co-founded in 1990. He is also theChairman of the Audit Committee of another public listed company.

He is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation and Entrepreneurs’ Organisation, Malaysian Chapters, where he hasserved various Board positions. He is also the Hon. Secretary of HospisMalaysia, a charitable organisation which renders free palliative careto residents in the Klang Valley diagnosed with life-limiting conditions.

Mr Mok chairs the Audit & Risk Management Committee, and is also amember of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee. He attended5 out of the 6 Board meetings held in the year ended 31 December 2008.

Mr Lim, 56, a Singaporean, is a Non-Independent Non-ExecutiveDirector of the Company. He was appointed to the Board on 23 September 2005.

Mr Lim graduated from the then University of Singapore with aBachelor of Accountancy Degree in 1976, and is also a Fellow memberof the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore. He wasan Executive Director of Chuan Hup Holdings Limited (“CHH”), a publiclisted company on the Stock Exchange of Singapore, from November1989 to November 2005. He oversaw the Finance and Accountingfunctions of the CHH Group and was a member of the Audit Committeeduring his term. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of PCILimited, another public listed company on the Stock Exchange of Singapore.

Mr Cheak, 66, a Malaysian, is an Independent Non-Executive Directorof the Company. He was appointed to the Board on 7 December 2006.

Mr Cheak graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor Degree in Economics. He joined Chuan Hup HoldingsLimited (“CHH”) in 1973 and was an Executive Director of CHH from1981 until February 2003. As an Executive Director, he was responsiblefor the marketing and business development of the CHH Group. He was appointed as an Executive Director of CH Offshore Ltd (“CHO”) in 1991, and became the Executive Vice Chairman from 1 July 2004 to 1 February 2005 and later the Executive Chairman from 1 February 2005 to 17 October 2005. As the Executive Chairman,he was responsible for charting the strategic development and longterm direction of the CHO Group.

He is now a Non-Executive Director of CHO.

Encik Shah Hakim, 44, a Malaysian, is the Group Chief ExecutiveOfficer / Non-Independent Executive Director of the Company. He was appointed to the Board on 23 September 2005.

He started his career as an Auditor with Ernst & Young and wassubsequently promoted as a Consulting Manager, responsible forservicing large corporations. He went on to be appointed as theExecutive Director of a regional packaging manufacturer in 1992, with direct operational responsibility. He currently sits on the Board of Sapura Industrial Berhad, Scomi Group Bhd, Scomi Engineering Bhd and KMCOB Capital Berhad.

Madam Loong Chun Nee, 51, a Malaysian, is a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. She was appointed asAlternate Director to Encik Shah Hakim @ Shahzanim bin Zain on 27 February 2009.

Madam Loong was previously with the Renong Group of companies for a total of 11 years covering companies including Projek LebuhrayaUtara-Selatan Berhad (1988 – 1992) and United Engineers (Malaysia)Berhad (1993 – 1994, 1997 – 1998). She left the Renong Group in late1999 to join YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr) Rozali Ismail as Financial Advisorunder a financial consultancy company, Jendela Permai Sdn Bhd(2000 – 2004). She then joined Scomi Group Bhd as Senior VicePresident – Corporate Finance / Chief Financial Officer of ScomiMarine Bhd since July 2005. Thereafter, she was transferred to ScomiGroup Bhd as Group Chief Financial Officer in August 2006. In early2008, she was re-designated as Group Chief Investment &Performance Officer. Mdm Loong has vast experience in financialadvisory matters specialising in the areas of corporate debt restructuring,corporate finance and project financing for privatisation projects.
