Colette Colclough joined Maryland Public Television as vice president and head of human resources in 2011, bringing to the position more than 20 years of experience in training, human resources, payroll, management and recruitment. Prior to her MPT appointment, Mrs. Colclough worked at Maryland’s Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation where she most recently served as the director of human resources. Earlier she was a human resources consultant for Odoi Associates, Inc., a Greenbelt, Maryland-based building management services provider. Still earlier, Mrs. Colclough served for six years as human resources director at WJLA-TV, in Arlington, Virginia, and as manager of human resources for eight years at W*USA-TV, in Washington, D.C. At the former station she played a role in the expansion of WJLA and NewsChannel 8 with the start-up of the Politico, a politically based journalism organization that distributes its content via the internet, newspaper, television, and radio. Mrs. Colclough is a board member with Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland and Marian House, a Baltimore- based organization that provides rehabilitation services and housing to homeless women. In addition, she is a certified leadership coach and trainer in DiSC, director of diversity for Chesapeake Human Resources Association (CHRA), and founder of MPT's Women's Leadership Forum. She also volunteers her time with several youth groups. Mrs. Colclough earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University. She holds the Senior Certification Professional (SCP) designation from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the International Professional Management Association (IPMA).
