• Asian Resources International founded in 1980 byVinod Kumar (Mechanical Engineer) who had 20 years ofexperience in International Marketing with the 4th largestgroup in India - DCM.

• The prime objective of the company being promotingexports of labor intensive products produced by smallscale industries, craftsman and cottage industry, whocould produce quality at good prices. The companyinitially started with brass builders hardware, art ware andsanitary fittings as target products and exported theproducts produced by small factories to Australia , NewZealand as branded products.

• In the year 1982 it started exports of building stones viz.slate, sand stone and quartzite from the state of Haryana,Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Today AsianResources owns quarries in the state MP. and twoprocessing plants located in the state of M.P. andRajasthan

• Processing of stone : Cutting, Grinding, Polishing for every conceivable use in particular to floors, building faces and monumentals.

• Contracting of all stones for consumption of houses, swimming pools, fire places, lintels, driveways etc.

• Technical Consultation to architects, builders and contractors for the end use of product with technical support data, testing results etc.

• Exporting of finished stone to Australia , South Africa, New Zealand .

Sandstone - Offerings

Sandstone is a type of sedimentary rock that is mainly composed of sand-size minerals or rock grains. In most cases, sandstones are also composed of quartz and/or feldspar.Mostly sandstones are resistant to weathering and are also very much easy to work. This makes sandstone a popularly used building and paving material.

Origin of SandstoneSandstones are basically clastic in origin. They are originated from the hard grains, which may be parts or fragments of a pre-existing rock or other mineral crystals. The process of sedimentation plays a major role in the formation of sand stones. Sandstones are formed mainly in terrestrial and marine environments.

VarietyJust like sand, sandstones are also available in a wide array of colours including brown, yellow, red, gray, tan and white. They are also available in various sizes and finishes. Topographic features also effect the color of sand stones.

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF SLATE

Chemically they are Multi-Mineral rocks made of an aggregate of minerals and colloidal substances. Essentially mineral composition includes members of Mica group commonly sericite & muscovite, Clay group commonly paragonite, chlorite & kaonilite. The accessory minerals are oxides, calcites & minor amounts of quartz and feldspar along with subordinate amounts of ferromagnesian minerals. Free silica is normally poor. It is resistant to acids and staining.

Granite

• The word granite derives its name from Latin "granum", meaning a grain, that represents the coarse-grained structure of this crystalline rock. Basically, granite is an igneous rock that is formed from magma. Granite is usually white or light brown in colour. They are also available in pink, gray or black colours based on their chemistry and mineralogy. Granite is usually a medium to coarsely grained rock. It is a hard and tough stone and is widely used as a construction stone.

Origin of GraniteGranite is originally an igneous rock formed from magma. Granite is composed of materials like quartz, feldspar, orthoclase, plagioclase, hornblende, etc. along with minor accessory minerals such as magnetite, garnet, zircon and apatite. In some cases, pyroxene is also present.

Uses Granite had been in use since ancient times when they were largely used for constructing buildings and monuments.In the modern days, granite is the most preferred dimension stone and flooring tile used in commercial and public buildings and monuments.Granites can be variously carved to make the following:

Physically, Marbles are metamorphic representatives of limestones and are also siliceous calcium carbonate rocks except Green marble, which is a magnesium silicate rock of serpentine nature of alkalis & ferromagnesian minerals.

Chemically, both limestone and marbles are siliceous calcium carbonate rocks.

Chemically Green marble has 38-40% Sio2, 34-38% MgO, 2-3% Al2O3, 5-6% Iron Oxides,1-2% CaO & 12-13% LOI.

Marble and other calcareous stones, are referred to as acid sensitive. Calcareous stones are readily dissolved in acid, therefore acidic products should not be used on limestone and marbles.

There are several types of marbles, including calcites (from calciferous limestone), dolomites (from dolomite limestone), serpentines (typically green marbles) and travertine (sedimentary limestone). Each of these is similar in their composition, that being predominantly calcium carbonate, and their capability to take a polish.

Abu Green

• Abu Green is premium dark Udaipur green marble of serpentine nature. It is one of the largest exported marble from Rajasthan in forms of blocks, slabs and tiles in various dimensions. Because of it's ability to take high polish it is mainly used on interior floors and decorative purposes.
