Activate on first use Traditional Menus, not Office 2007

“Ribbon” Opens new project in Task view

File | New | On Computer ->Project Templates or Templates on Office Online Offers a selection of project templates

Calendar Network Diagram

Customizable

Start with New | Blank Project Enter Project | Project Information

Start or End date, Calendar type Project Calendar

Tools | Change Working Time Customize calendar Holidays, hours normally worked, etc.

Holidays are recorded in Exceptions list Also, Tools | Options |Calendar

File | Properties Title, Author, etc.

Create task list in left side of Gantt Chart Estimate duration

Units m, h, d, w, mo Milestone has duration zero Indent to create sub-tasks

Tab or Project | Outline | Indent Select group of tasks if desired

Linking Tasks Select tasks and then Edit | Link Tasks Change link type with Project | Task Info |
