PRODUCTION LOG ENTRY Ryan Quinn

Entry 1 At the start of production in year 10, I was

working by myself. I decided on the genre of my film which would be a psychological thriller. I chose this as it would include suspense, as well as a variety of codes and conventions. The film itself would also have an array of camera angles and shots, due to the scenes involved.

Entry 2 I decided on my plot which was:

In my opening sequence, a person walks in/enters a nearby building, not knowing he is being tracked down by murderous people with evil intentions.

Entry 3Due to finding it particularly difficult to work

alone, I decided to merge with another group, to get a substantially more amount of work done. This proved not to be the case as we made little progress. However, as time passed, we had a large amount of recordings.

However, no recordings were uploaded onto imovie.

ENTRY 4During the start of year 11, we once again

decided to change the plot of the film. The plot would be revolved around a computer hacker, breaking into communication systems all over the United kingdom. MI5 are brought in to bring down the school based hacker.

Entry 5 The amount of recordings increased within the

project. We used a variety of camera angles and shots to add tension and effect to the film that had been developed on so many occasions.

Different aspectsCamera work: throughout the project, our

group has tried to use a variety of angles and shots to make the film as good as possible

Codes and conventions: we tried to include the codes and conventions of the thriller genre e.g. tension, suspense, action/conflict.

We also did target research to have a better idea on what kind of people watch thriller films and what they are aiming for.
