* Calcium folinate is a source of folinic acid, which quickly converts to the most active form of folate. Folinic acid, as an active form of folic acid aids in overcoming common inherited polymorphisms that may impair folic acid availability. **Folic acid is essential pre-conceptionaly, however, its absorption is dependent on the presence of adequate levels of all B vitamins.
