1. Organic corrosions inhibitors for iron & steel:
Synergistic effects in combination with pigments, like zinc phosphate Favourable tox profiles
Excellent cost performance ratio
>> Additive G50 / G50 wb / G50 T / G50 S - Real multi metal protection based on polymeric compounds. - Applicable for water based (Additive G50 wb) and solvent based coatings
(Additive G50). - For high temperature applications like coil coatings we advise also
Additive G50 T. - For solvent borne systems with low polarity we advise to use
Additive G50 S.
>> Additive RM - Novel R & D product, based mostly on renewable raw materials! - Organic, polymeric corrosion inhibitor for iron & steel. - Applicable for water based coatings. - Additional it offers a decent hydrophobic effect.

2. Flash rust / temporary corrosion inhibitors:
>> Additive F2M - Very effective flash rust inhibitor for iron / steel surfaces. - Unlike many other FRIs Additive F2M has no negative effects on long term
corrosion protection, thus may be used at higher dosages! - Also effective as in-can corrosion protection.
>> Additive G50 F / N / E - Very effective flash rust inhibitor for iron / steel surfaces. - Also effective as temporary corrosion protection, like transport or storage.
Depending on the coating a varnishing is possible without prior cleaning / removal of Additive G50 F / N / E!
- Additional synergistic long term corrosion inhibition!
>> Additive TA-40 / TA-41, EDA and CF - Very effective flash rust inhibitors for iron / steel surfaces, partially in
accordance to GADSL.

3. Combined Corrosion Inhibitors:
The following Additive G50 types are combined corrosion inhibitors, offering flash rust inhibition and organic long term corrosion protection in one product!
>> Additive G50 F - From approx. 1.0 % on sufficient flash rust protection is provided.
>> Additive G50 N - From approx. 1.25 % on sufficient flash rust protection is provided.
>> Additive G50 E - Due to it´s high water content use is limited! From approx. 2.5 % on
sufficient flash rust protection is provided.
Further improvements are possible through combinations of Additive G50 F / N / E.
Complete long term corrosion protection is possible through additional Additive G50 / G50wb.

Additive G50 in comparison to common inhibitors for paints & coatings:
Additive G50 is a totally new inhibitor type / inhibitor concept, offering a broader and much more flexible application and use compared to common inhibitors!
Another advantage of Additive G50 is it´s flexibility, meaning it can be combined with other G50 types and inhibitors, offering synergistic effects!

4. Highlight Additive G50 :
Corrosion inhibition for iron and steel:
Additive G50 is a corrosion inhibitor suitable for many coating systems, in synergism with anti-corrosion pigments or as sole corrosion inhibitor e.g. transparent coatings.
Reference: 1K wb Acrylic with 10.1 % ZnPO 250 h Salt spray, 60 µm
1K wb Acrylic with 5.0 % ZnPO + 2 % Additive G50 wb 250 h Salt spray, 60 µm
Reference: 2K PU sb, with 10.1 % ZnPO 504 h Salt spray, 60 µm
2K PU sb, without ZnPO, but with 2 % Additive G50 504 h Salt spray, 60 µm

Additive G50 can also act as a treatment for aluminium flakes/pigments in water based coatings, preventing the oxidation and the creation of hydrogen. Typical treatments of aluminium flakes/pigments are by chromates orSiO2 / Silanes Other treatments, like resins or phosphoric compounds, provide worse results, even under less aggressive / mild conditions.

Additive G50 S on ST14 steel, applied through a paraffinic base oil. The dosage of Additive G50 S is 1.0% in the oil. All competitors (coded B, C, M, N and W) are commercially available products for temporary metal protection, rust removal, lubricating, penetration of rust and moisture displacement.
Compared to the competitors the simple formulation with Additive G50 S shows good results.

The properties mentioned above are the core targets and further will be added!
-Polymeric corrosion inhibitor for long term protection and decent flash rust. -Based on renewable raw materials. -Useable in water borne coatings for iron & steel surfaces. -Hydrophobic properties. -Polymers make easy customisation possible!
Additive RM is the current R&D project that High TAC is developing in cooperation with the Fraunhofer-IFAM institute Bremen.
