As a result of increasingly strict safety requirements on the international railway market, Europoles has developed an integrated breakage monitoring system for barriers. This is implemented by a copper wire spun permanently into the wall of the barrier as an integral element. The wire is completely maintenance-free and by interruption of a safety circuit reliably detects any fracture along the entire length of the barrier.

Greater safety in roadway and railway traffic

As full, half, or pedestrian barriers: railway barriers must be easily recognizable by all pedestrians and motorists and must depend-ably assure safety. Europoles meets all these requirements with their barriers made of glass-fiber reinforced. They are available as tubular and rectangular level-crossing barriers. Since Europoles is a Grade Q1 supplier of Deutsche Bahn AG, the barriers satisfy the strict technical requirements of Deutsche Bahn and have convinced customers in Germany and around the world.

The barriers are dyed white as standard and are available in a selection of lengths up to 10 m. The old saying applies here: The customer is king.Weatherproof, ultra-reflecting signal film is affixed to the barrier in a choice of various designs. The film narrowly focuses and reflects the impinging lights without glare. Dyeing the polyester resin film enables various RAL color shades, and later painting is not necessary.

The barriers are produced from fiberglass complexes and polyester resin in a chrome-plated steel mold, by a proven centrifugal process. The high-tensile-strength fiberglass reinforcement is oriented optimally with respect to the direction of loading and graduated according to requirements. The reinforcement and matrix material are highly compacted by the great centrifugal forces of the spinning process. The rectangular barriers are produced in an extrusion process as hollow sections.

Characteristics:Characteristics:Characteristics:Characteristics:

•A completely smooth and homogenous surface due to a 0.5 mm polyester mat and thin resin coat

•Great UV resistance and absolutely resistant to corrosion, with no costs for service and maintenance

•Non-conductive and flame-retardant

•Defined breaking point at the barrier, which occurs with a defined impact impulse (crash case) and prevents bent barriers from protruding into the rail- or roadway

•Low weight, resulting in reduced costs for transport, drive motors, and counterbalances

•Great modulus of elasticity for mechanic and dynamic fatigue strength and additional vibration-damping characteristics that preserve the barriers and drive motors

All barriers are modular in design, and barrier parts A and B are exchangeable separately and according to requirements can be replaced or newly assembled. Owing to our experience of 40 years and our own in-house Engineering Department, we meet our customer wishes fast and efficiently and develop special solutions.
