Our Story

Every plant is a combination of roots, stems and leaves — but at Stoller, we see what that plant could be. To harness that potential, Thermobiogenetics® solutions maximize pathways inside the plant to move energy to accelerate roots, fight stress and create optimum yields.

We call this—Power to the Plant™

The Process — Start | Grow | FinishOn its own, a plant produces energy (stored as sugars) and moves it at various rates in various directions. How and where that energy gets moved is critical. Sugars that flow upward go to vegetation (leaves). Sugars that flow downward go to stalks, roots or fruiting points. Each area is important, but proper balance must be achieved — and timing is critical. This is where Start-Grow-Finish begins. Flow and timing will shift throughout the plant’s life cycle and are greatly impacted by weather and external or cultural events. Downward flow to the roots is critical at emergence. Upward flow is most critical at the later Start and early Grow phases to gain a fast canopy and build leaf mass. Downward flow takes priority during late Grow (reproduction) and Finish phases. START—Energy is created through photosynthesis, enabled by chlorophyll and sunlight, and stored as sugars. Any factor that speeds photosynthesis will create more sugars and, thus, energy (or power).

GROW—Energy is moved throughout the plant to critical areas. The more energy an area receives, the better it will perform.

FINISH—Energy flow is directed to specific areas of the plant based on the timing of the plant’s growth stage.

This entire process gives Power to the Plant™.

Stoller’s Plant Performance Technology is based on supporting optimum growth when weather or other stress conditions cause hormone imbalance. Treatments consist of compounds that work together to ensure optimum hormone balance and activity:• Treatments are designed to provide specific hormone

balance at key development stages for different crop types.

• It supports the plant’s ability to withstand the stresses limiting optimum growth and yield.

The external factors that affect plant hormone balance are unpredictable and variable:• Weather• Crop cultivars• Soil type, conditions and fertility• Tillage and agronomic practices• Pests

Genetic Potential is determined by a plant’s internal DNA structure from breeding and/or biotechnology.Genetic Expression is the physiological manifestation of a plant’s genetic potential and is determined by external factors from the time a seed germinates, a bulb or tuber sprouts, or when a perennial plant breaks dormancy all the way through to harvest.

Stoller products are manufactured from high-quality, technical grade ingredients for effective and consistent performance. Plant Performance Products up-regulate hundreds of genes, however Stoller focuses only on those that have a qualitative and quantitative impact on plant development. Each product is thoroughly evaluated and understood by Stoller’s own research and development team in the lab and in the field.

Stoller products are designed to help plants function more efficiently. Stoller products are not replacements for sound agronomy and fertility programs. They work in concert with good farming practices for maximum yield.

Harvest More® Urea MateHarvest More® Urea Mate with 10% available phosphate is a soluble fertilizer crystal having an acid pH allowing it to be used with most fungicides and insecticides. It will also acidify the irrigation water so that it will inhibit the buildup of carbonates in both the irrigation emitters and the soil around the plant roots for enormous agronomic advantage.

What It Does• Soil, Foliar or Irrigation application.

• Acidifies irrigation water to inhibit carbonates in emitters and soils.

• Acid pH allows mixing with most fungicide and insecticide.

• Significantly higher amount of trace elements than the common soluble fertilizers.

• Micronutrient level is nearly 100 times higher than most soluble fertilizers.

What That Means• There is no other soluble fertilizer that contains a balance of secondary and

micronutrients in a formulation to allow the plant to pick and choose which nutrients it needs during different stages of growth.

• Harvest More Urea Mate helps to ensure that there will be no deficiencies in calcium, magnesium, boron, cobalt, copper, manganese, molybdenum, and zinc.

Foli-Zyme™

Foli-Zyme is an effective source of nutrients for direct application to the plant leaf. It has the proper ratio of major, secondary and micronutrients necessary for crop response and greatly increases nutrient absorption when sprayed on foliage. The low pH makes pesticides work more effectively by increasing the acidity of the spray water to reduce pesticide hydrolysis.

Foli-Zyme is formulate with all amine (NH2) nitrogen, a form the plant can’t use with maximum efficiency. Foli-Zyme contains nitrogen, potassium, calcium with zinc, manganese, iron, copper, magnesium, boron, molybdenum and cobalt. Growers have found that Foli-Zyme is an extremely valuable supplement to soil-applied nutrients. Foli-Zyme is packed with nutrients, yet it is up to 1/3 the cost of the most foliar fertilizers.

What It Does• Applied alone or enhanced with other growth agents as a stubble spray on

alfalfa will enhance stem numbers per crown and leaves per stem resulting in greater feed quality and yield. Foli-Zyme treated fields last longer

• Applied with fungicide, insecticide applications Foli-Zyme will aid in buffering the spray tank and supply needed nutrients to nutrient insufficient points on the crop

• Foliar applications of Foli-Zyme alone or in combination with Nitro Plus will assist in maintaining root health of a crop to reduce early dying

• Foliar applications of Foli-Zyme will reduce the negative growth factors associated with crops grown in nitrate nitrogen rich diets; especcially when combined with Nitrate Balancer.

Hear What Growers Are Saying“They have some amazing products. We plan on using the

Bio-Forge on 100% of our acres next year. Just try it on a few acres and you’ll be sold on it!”

-Taylor Snyder, Glendon, Alberta

“We treated our fall Rye with Action 5%, it was slower to emerge but noticed more root growth than the untreated which came up quicker. Checking a week later we found the Action 5% Rye

had caught up and surpassed the untreated portion, with almost 2 extra leaves per plant. We will be using Action 5% on all our cereals next year.”

-Lyndon Tomblin, Mozart, Saskatchewan

“We have used Bio-Forge as a seed treatment on our barley the past two seasons, mainly to compensate for the cool, wet soil conditions at seeding.

Each year we have noticed a more uniform emergence and healthier, more vigorous plants. After seeing the results from using the product, we will

definitely be using it on our cereals in the future.” -Pat Workman, Minto, Manitoba

“We used Action 5% as an added seed treatment on our barley this year to see if we could get some production out of our saline spots. The

barley germinated like never before and had an earlier, stronger emergence across the field compared to what wasn’t treated. We later

treated our cereals with Bio-Forge and Golden Harvest. We found it allows the plant to keep taking up nutrients when others (untreated) stop

and shut down. With the ease of using these two products and the proven results that make the bottom line better you can bet we will continue to use them across more acres this coming year”

-Kevin Nahorniak, KWL Farming, Quill Lake, Saskatchewan
