Lexmark’s Embedded Solution Framework (eSF):

In addition to out of the box capabilities, Lexmark touch-screen devices have the eSF, Embedded

Solutions Framework, which allows for customizing the behavior of the device by writing Java software

that runs inside the device.

Embedded Solutions tend to be more scalable than solutions that require a middle-ware server system.
