Introducing our product portfolio for heat-exchangers
Centravis stainless steel tube solutions
Ability to produce according to all major specifications and gradesAlways striving for quality and new technologies in the production of seamless stainless steel tubes, we can produce high-quality tubes to all important specifications and grades. The mill manufactures hot-extruded tubes and cold drawn tubes to more than 100 domestic and international standards. Our product range covers austenitic, ferritic, austenitic-ferritic steel grades, duplex, super duplex in a dimensional range from 4 – 168mm with wall thickness of 0.2 – 28mm and a maximum tube length of 25 metres.
Our commitment to heat-exchangers marketDuring its recent past, Centravis, formerly CJSC NSTM, has become a clear leader in the production of stainless steel heat exchanger tubing not only in Ukraine, but also worldwide. Year by year the product range widens, technological processes improve and the general production volumes and productivity increase. During the last 5 years, our mill at Nikopol increased its production volume of high quality heat-exchanger tubes to 5200 tons, which marks an annual growth rates of about 20%. These positive trends are accompanied by a gradual extension of our geographical distribution facilities, starting to ship to the United States, Australia, but also to further European customers such as Austria, Switzerland, Finland and Denmark. All in all we are delivering product solutions to more than 70 countries.
Technological innovations In order to keep the momentum Centravis has installed new streamline for heat-exchanger tubes manufacturing which will be launched in the beginning of 2008. The streamline comprises of new and highly productive cold pilger mills, bright annealing furnace, straightening, grinding machines, cutting machine and testing equipment. Furthermore we will install equipment for production of U-bent tubes. All the equipment is supplied by leading European producers.
Centravis market share on the global market of seamless stainless heat exchanger tubing

Quality Management
Our vision of the Quality managementBeing in the list of main industry suppliers we at Centravis understand that quality improvement is continuous process. Therefore, our Quality management starts from the selection of the billet supplier up to inspection of the tube by end-user. We adopt and pursue the highest standards of quality for our products and services, measure customer satisfaction and provide transparent information to our customers. We clearly understand that quality is the responsibility of all our employees.
Quality control at each stage of productionIn order to secure high quality standards Centravis has an independent division for Quality management system implementation and up-to-date equipment. Within the production process tubes can be checked for tolerances of geometry and surface, chemical composition, mechanical properties, corrosion tests, hardness tests and metallographic inspection. Final inspection can be done on facilities for non-destructive testing, eddy-current control, ultrasonic control, positive material identification.
Investments into qualityIn addition, to guarantee consistent process quality Centravis invests not only in testing equipment but also in the new equipment for tube manufacturing which will be launched in 2008. The main are new hot-extrusion press (force of 4400 tonnes) from European supplier and several new KPW mills with all necessary preparation and finishing equipment.
Quality management system of Centravis has been approved by the following certificates:EN ISO 9001:2000EN ISO 14001PED 97/23/EC AD 2000-Merkblatt W0

Heat-exchanger tubing
Description:Heat-exchanger equipment, pipelines and pipeline components
Application:Nuclear IndustryChemical IndustryPetrochemical industryHVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning), refrigerationFood and BeveragesPower Generation
Shell & Tube Heat ExchangersShell and Tube Heat Exchangers are defined as heat exchangers that can transfer hot fluid to a cooler fluid. One fluid passes through a set of tubes while the other fluid passes through the shell that encloses the tubes. Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers find applications in processes involving high temperature and pressure, and in cases where the fluid contains particles.
There are two main types of Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers used in industrial application: U-tube and Straight Tube Heat Exchangers.
U-Tube Heat ExchangersU-Tube heat exchanger comprises a U-shaped tube fixed by flow baffles or tube supports and placed in a shell to control the fluid present in the exterior of tube assembly. The fluid is guided into the tubes by using a head assembly, which is fixed to the shell by means of bolts.
Straight Tube Heat Exchangers Straight tube heat exchangers are used in applications where the fluids have high fouling properties. They are also used in applica-tions where there is high occurrence of temperature cross. The straight tube structure facilitates easy cleaning of the tubes. However owing to their design, straight tube heat exchangers are not effective where the temperature difference between the fluids is high.

U-bent tubesU-bent tubes are widely used in heat-exchanger systems. Heat-exchanger equipment on the basis of seamless stainless U-tubes is essential in strategi-cally important and critical fields - nuclear and petrochemical machine building.
A tube-bending line, that will be installed at Centravis till the end of 2007, will allow to produce U-tubes as per such standards: 1. ASTM A688/A688M2. ASTM A803/A803M3. ASTM A556/A556M, ASME SA-5564. ASME SA-688
For the present the company has purchased the equipment for production of the following product range:
A maximum lengths of straight part is 12 500 mmThe range of lengths of straight tubes before bending is 14 000 - 26 000 mm
