Performance-Based Standards (PBS) offers an alternative regulatory system which allows heavy vehicle combinations to achieve higher productivity and safety through innovative and optimised vehicle designs.

It’s not just vehicle performance that’s important in PBS. For true PBS success you need a high-performing truck tyre and a supply chain partner who understands how to match a tyre that will deliver for your application and PBS design.

Our tyres are designed to work productively, safely and as sustainably as possible on Australian roads. We are the most cost-efficient and purpose-built tyre solution in the industry. We are experienced at working on PBS truck and trailer design combinations to carry larger than normal payloads ensuring vehicle safety.

Australian Tyre Traders have undertaken rigorous PBS (Performance Based Standards) testing on Haulmax TBR tyres in Australia. Our testing is undertaken with strict test parameters by the Australian Road Research Board and audited by tyre engineers. In using Haulmax Tyres, we really understand the PBS process and can make it as simple and fast as possible for you depending on your requirements.

PBS applications require the use of tyre data to establish vehicle performance. The data required is self-aligning movement and cornering force.

The ATT312 tread pattern incorporates a variety of features designed into the tread compound rubber to support the vehicle’s performance for highway operating conditions while resisting heat build-up and high tread pattern wear. The ATT312 pattern design feature is a specific combination of – tread pattern depth, ribs, blocks, lugs, sipes and grooves that will provide superior linehaul performance handling and lower rolling resistance.

Sipes location and design are carefully engineered into a tyre’s tread blocks to balance highway handling, wear, wet grip and reduce the possibility of squirmy handling in dry and hot conditions.

Pattern Design includes multiple ribs, block lugs with outer solid shoulders. The pattern has 5 tread block ribs being separated by four circumferential grooves. The ribs include the outer solid shoulder, the intermediate centre blocks spacing is separated by a low angle lateral groove to give added tread pattern grip and low noise with improved rolling resistance under highway conditions.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE T’s & C’s1 ELIGIBILITY & PROOF OF PURCHASE

1.1 Your Haulmax TBR Tyres must only be used on the vehicle on which they were originally installed by the Haulmax Preferred Dealer or Original Equipment Manufacturer.

1.2 The Haulmax TBR Tyres product has been manufactured to the highest quality standards and is warranted to the original purchaser or gift recipient only. The Haulmax TBR Tyres Lifetime Free Replacement Guarantee (hereinafter referred to as “guarantee”) is non-transferable.

1.3 The product must be registered within sixty (60 days) of purchase via the Haulmax New Tyre Registration Form and submitted to ATT via the appropriate channels of email, fax or post. You must receive a confirmation email stating that ATT has received the new tyre registration.

1.4 In order for a claim to be processed the tyre retailer must be Haulmax Tyres preferred dealer in Australia or fitted as an original equipment supplier.

1.5 Purchase receipt or invoice must be retained as proof of purchase and as proof of the date on which the purchase was made. The purchase receipt or invoice must be presented when making a claim under this guarantee. In the event the receipt of purchase is not presented this guarantee may be invalid.

1.6 This guarantee applies to Haulmax TBR Tyres* purchased on or after 1st January 2010.

2 GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

2.1 The Haulmax TBR Tyres product is guaranteed to be free from defects in manufacturing quality and free from componentry faults during the lifetime guarantee period. Defects that occur within this guarantee period, under normal use and care will be repaired or replaced at our discretion, solely at our option with no charge for parts or labour.

2.2 As the manufacturer of Haulmax Tyres products in Australia, Australian Tyre Traders (hereinafter referred to as “ATT”) will handle all service, guarantee, warranty and replacement affairs.

2.3 In the unlikely event of no identical Haulmax Tyres product being available for replacement, ATT reserves the right to replace the tyre with an equivalent product. Replacement of the product does not extend or restart the guarantee period.

2.4 The guarantee is limited to the original purchaser and the original vehicle on which they are fitted and not assignable to subsequent purchasers or vehicles.

2.5 The guarantee will only be issued once the appropriate paperwork has been received and the tyre has been examined and been deemed suitable for replacement.

2.6 The guarantee applies to new Haulmax Tyres only and not retreaded or re-treaded tyres.

2.7 The Haulmax TBR Tyres product presented for claim must be of legal tread depth. Legal tread depth is governed by the Tyre and Rim Association of Australia (T&RA) and is currently set at 1.5mm deep for TBR tyres (2009).

2.8 No dealer, representative or person has authority to make representation, promise or agreement on behalf of Haulmax Tyres except Haulmax Tyres authorized management and staff members.

2.9 Any tyre, no matter how well constructed, may fail due to conditions beyond the control of the manufacturer. Under no circumstances is this warranty a representation that a tyre failure cannot occur.

3 GENERAL EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

3.1 The guarantee will not cover tyres with wear conditions or tyre damage due to: road hazards (including: punctures, snag, cut, impact breaks, etc), misalignment, improper inflation, irregular wear, heal and toe wear, wreck, collision, theft, fire, fast wear, and other wear conditions.

3.2 The guarantee will not cover tyre failures due to improper inflation, overloading, high-speed spin up, misapplication, misuse, negligence, racing, chain damage or improper mounting or demounting.

3.3 Any Haulmax Tyres intentionally altered in shape or appearance will not be guaranteed.

3.4 Any Haulmax Tyres that has had material added including tyre fillers, sealants or balancing substances) will not be guaranteed.

3.5 Cost of fitting, balancing and any other charges by the dealer in connection with the replacement of the tyre does not form part of the guarantee.

3.6 Any Haulmax Tyres that has been retreaded or re-grooved will not be guaranteed.

3.7 The guarantee will not apply if the factory-applied serial number has been altered or removed from the product.

3.8 This guarantee does not cover any defect caused by an accident, misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation, lack of reasonable care, unauthorized medication, loss of parts, tampering or attempted repair by a person not authorized by the distributor.

3.9 This guarantee does not cover damage arising during transportation, installation or while moving the Product, or to any transportation costs of the Product or any parts thereof to and from the owner, unless otherwise specified in these guarantee conditions.

3.10 ATT will not provide refund directly to end-user in any circumstances.

3.11 ATT excludes all other guarantees, warranties, conditions, terms, representations and undertakings whether express or implied.

GUARANTEE CLAIM PROCESSIn the event of a guarantee claim please email or post a letter to your ATT Territory manager containing the following:

1.) A photographic image of the tyre including the following: i. tyre serial number ii. problem area of tyre iii. tread depth image 2.) Measurement of the tread depth of the tyre 3.) Copy of the invoice

ATT may hold the tyre for up to 60 days and provided the tyre adheres to the condi-tions contained within the outlined Terms and Conditions will provide a free replace-ment product.

HOW TO IDENTIFY WHEN THE TYRE WAS MANUFACTUREDThe serial number on the tyre contains manufacturing information including the production date of the tyre.
