Many root cause failures are due to the anodized coating flaking off the valve lands. Once this occurs, the valve begins to hang in the bore and the bore is now compromised. TransGo USA steel valves can not delaminate, providing a long term quality upgrade.

TransGo steel valve with lengthened lands

TransGo offers a number of innovative drop-in valve fixes to increase support to restore proper valve function in worn bores. Our improved design is a long-term quality upgrade.

TransGo redesigned inboard and outboard valve lands ride in the untouched portion of the bore, renewing circuit integrity without the expensive and time consuming reaming process. (note the OEM valve lands compared to TransGo). Anodized coating flakes off

Valves designed with elongated front and rear lands are better supported in the bore, translating to smoother valve travel making it all but impossible for the valve to cock in the bore causing further wear. TransGo replaces the original anodized aluminum valves with precision-ground US-made steel. The reason OEMs use anodized aluminum valves are predominantly driven by cost and weight factors to comply with federal CAFÉ requirements.

ZF Solenoid Information (Imports)The two sets of solenoids in Fig A are supposed to be the same colors.

The left side solenoids have overheated and should not be used. Overheating is what caused the color change. Even though the bottom left solenoid connector might LOOK green, it was originally blue. The top left may LOOK orange but it was over-heated and the original color was actually yellow!

IF YOUR SOLENOIDS TURNED COLOR REPLACE THEM! Do not ask them to go another 100k, they won’t!

Orange– Common on Late Audi. Don’t mistake for over-heated yellow.
