Who are we? Catholic Cemeteries + Crematoria (CCC) is a self-funding organisation, entrusted with caring for our cemetery in perpetuity - forever. We are committed to maintaining these restful and sustainable places to preserve and protect the memories they hold. The price of the memorial chosen by you and your family contributes to lasting care of our cemetery.

Pricing There are a wide range of products + services available at different price points, across our 5 cemeteries and memorial parks. The price of the position chosen by you and your family will be influenced by: • the value of land at your chosen location • the cost of constructing the grave or cremation memorial and surrounding infrastructure • the cost of maintaining the cemetery in perpetuity. Prices in this guide for administrative services, interment and cremation services, and for memorialisation products such as plaques, emblems, adornments are consistent across all CCC cemeteries and memorial parks*.

*Rookwood and Liverpool cemeteries incur Government Levies on interments and cremations

Cemetery Products and Services Interment Right Products An interment right is a contract between the cemetery and the right holder permitting the right holder to have human remains buried in a particular location within the cemetery. When it comes to purchasing an Interment Right product there are three main choices:

1. Above Ground Burials

For above ground burial, families can choose a family vault or crypt within our cemeteries.

The difference between a crypt and a vault is that a vault is a large free-standing building to be shared by family members and contains various shelf configurations. A crypt can be purchased as a single or double and are housed within a building with other crypts.

2. Below Ground Burials

Below ground burials vary depending on the headstone.

A lawn grave is generally a simple headstone usually crafted from granite or marble by a stonemason. This sits above ground at the head of the grave usually on a concrete beam and the area where the coffin is buried is covered by turf.

For something more decorative, a monumental lawn grave allows for a more personalised tribute to be erected on concrete beam base. This sits above ground at the head of the grave usually on a concrete beam and the area where the coffin is buried is covered by turf.

A traditional monumental section grave allows for the grave to be fully covered by a stone monument, usually crafted from granite or marble by a stonemason. The monument sits above ground on top of the grave.

3. Cremated Remains Memorials

Cremated remains can be interred within an arrangement of a series of special indoor alcoves (columbarium), a bank along an outdoor niche wall or cemetery garden used or intended to be used for the interment of cremated human remains.

Packages In order to make the purchase process easier, a number of interment right products are sold as all-inclusive packages. In most instances, these packages include the Interment Right, Interment Fee and memorial. If you are unsure of what is included in a package purchase our friendly client services team is always here to help.

Types of Services

Cremation & Chapel Services

We a provide full range of cremation services at our cemetery including:

• A full cremation service including a chapel booking • No Service No Attendance cremation – no chapel is required and the remains of your loved one will be

prepared ready for collection or interment into an appropriate location

We also have a variety of chapels designed to farewell your loved one according to your budget, religious tradition or specific requirements.

Interment Fees

Interment fees (also known as Opening and Closing fees) can include 50 or more separate services provided by the cemetery and are payable each time a grave, crypt, vault or niche is used to inter human remains unless expressly included in a product package.

Typically, a below ground interment fee includes:

• administration and permanent record keeping (determining ownership, obtaining permission and the

completion of other documentation which may be required, entering the interment particulars in the interment register and maintaining all legal files);

• opening and closing the grave or crypt (locating the grave and laying out the boundaries, excavating and filling the interment space);

• installation and removal of the lowering device or lifting device / or scaffolding; • placement and removal of artificial grass dressing and equipment at the gravesite, • levelling, tamping, re-grading and turfing the gravesite and levelling and re-turfing the grave over a

period of time as the earth settles. • Labour costs and ongoing cemetery maintenance funding • GST and Government Levies

Ancillary Services

Ancillary services include services or items that may be purchased in addition to a burial’s product for example:

• Monuments including Inscriptions, photos, vases, permit fees etc • Administrative fees such as transfer fees, clergy payments, late fees
