Advantages

High suction capabilityThe process pump series features, due its special impeller blade geometry, low NPSHR values and thus has a high suction capacity.

Low energy costsBy the systematic development and flow optimization a global effi- ciency up to 89 % can be achieved.

Impeller models EOS: For an excellent freedom from clogging by particles and fibresThe triple-bladed EOS-impeller has a larger, open spherical channel thanthe EO-impeller and is used primarily for slurries and suspensions of larger

solids. The blade leading edge and the opposing wear plate have special designs that make it possible to trans- port even long-fibre components, such as occur in wastewater.

Transport of high consistency paper pulpEgger has been known for decades for pulp pumps in the pulp and paper industry. Fibres, high air content, etc. – these are all everyday occurrencesthat are very challenging. The process pump production series EO / EOS with their special blade geometries guarantees even for this case thesafe delivery of consistencies as high as 8 % bone dry.

Multi-purpose applicabilityGathering the large number of specific hydraulic properties in a hydraulic system and pairing them with sound construction make the EO / EOS production series genuine process pumps that are valued as such by our clients all over the world. Egger process pumps are suited for a wide range of abrasive, corrosive and viscous fluids and even multiphase suspensions, containing solids and high gas content.

The process pump range is also available in a high pressure and high temperature execution.

Hydraulics for process pumps EO/EOSThe semi-open radial impeller with special profile is a logical development of the original Eggerimpeller, which brought about the founding of the firm in 1947. The EO and EOS impellerfamily is distinguished most significantly by their number of blades; their hydraulic properties arevirtually identical.

Transport of fluids with high gas content – high suction capabilityOrdinary radial impellers are known for their limited transport of gas content which results in a drastic reduction of output to the point where delivery stops altogether. Since its founding in 1947, Egger has focussed on thisproblem. Our special blade geometry guarantees the delivery of gas contents up to 25 %, as has been proven in numerous reactor loop installations in the chemical industry. This hydraulic family exhibits low NPSHR values.

Higher, longer-lasting efficiency through adjustable impeller openings – also under conditions of wearSemi-open impellers have a fixed wear plate opposite them. The gap between them is critical for the perfor- mance data (Q, H, η). For abrasive fluids, the gap gets bigger and bigger and causes a reduction in the nominal pump values. The pumps in the EO and EOS families are equipped with a wear plate that can be adjusted from the outside and with which onecan reset the impeller gap back to its original size. Thus, the specified original delivery characteristic values can be restored and a replacement can be usually omitted in the longer term. As an alternative, under con- ditions of high wear, the casing cover can also be equipped with a replace-able wear insert.

AdvantagesTransport of fluids with high gas content and large diameter solidsThe patented hybrid impeller is a mix between the proven Turo® Vortex impeller and the semi-open EO im- peller and combines the advantages of both hydraulics. Hybrid pumps transport fluids with up to 10 % gas content unaffected by process conditions, without stalling and have at the same time a large open spherical channel.

Egger modular systemTEO Hybrid impellers are fully inte- grated into the proven Egger modular system and can be replaced without any modifications by a Turo® Vortex impeller.

High efficiency with viscous fluids With increasing viscosity, the pressure and flow rate drop are significantly lower with hybrid pumps than with Vortex pumps.

Safe operating performanceThe excellent suction and stable pum- ping characteristics of the hybrid pumps provide a very safe operating performance when installed on pits and tanks.

Slurping modeThe TEO-hydraulic is particularly suitable for pumping air-containing emulsions in tanks. Its slurping mode and its dry running capability make it the ideal choice for pump back systems.

Lower startup levelDue to the lower startup level, hybrid pumps can react quickly and steadily to fluids and level changes. TEO pumps in cantilever design can also be operated safely with smaller pit and tank volumes.

Alternative chip handlingIn metal machining, coolant, filtration and chip handling play an important role. As quickly as possible, chips and coolants must be kept away from the machine. A particular challenge is the difficulty of pumping materials that tend to cause bundles of chips.

As an alternative to the traditional chip handling methods, the hybrid pumps are the ideal solution for pumping mixtures of chips, coolants and cutting oils through a closed central filtration loop system. Especially in the automotive industry, TEO pumps have been proven for many years. Due to their special hydraulic properties hybrid pumps are insensitive to air or gas inclusions. With TEOZ cutter pumps, long aluminum or brass chips can be pumped without clogging due to an integrated cutting unit.

SiC SlurryPumping of slurry from the photovoltaic and semiconductor industry places high demands on the pumping equipment. Slurry is a viscous fluid used for the cutting of silicon ingots and the production of wafers. Silicon carbide (SiC) is a pow- dery solid component which is responsible for the abrasive-ness and the performance of the cutting process. Polyethyl-ene glycol (PEG) is the liquid component and serves as a carrier and coolant.

Hundreds of TEO hybrid pumps are in continuous operation on wafer cutting machines. Due to more compact machines, pump back systems and their tanks are also smaller and entrained air can’t be expelled easily. Hybrid pumps in seal-less, dry running resistant cantilever designare ideally suited for this demanding task.

The ideal pump for coolants, emulsions and chip handling

The cantilever series TEO and TEOZ are equipped with interchangeable flanges for simplified installation.
