PLANT CAPACITY ENHANCEMENT PROJECT
As Process Engineer contributed in revamp study of Ammonia Plant up to 120% of the base designcapacity. Engaged in following responsibilities during Revamp Project
‐ Scope finalization and Kick‐Off meetings with Haldor Topsoe A/S (HTAS) team to achieve most viable options (energy wise) for achieving target ammonia plant capacity.
‐ Collection of extensive plant data and correspondence with HTAS for developing Ammonia Plant base case model.
‐ Review of base case and Revamp PFD’s in perspective of plant operational, mechanicallimitations and problems.
‐ Finalization of revamp study aligned with targets and objectives.
‐ Finalization Basic Engineering Design (BED) work scope with Haldor Topsoe A/S Denmark for Ammonia Plant Revamp for 120% of base case capacity.
‐ Review process engineering related work scope of BED Package deliverables. Part‐time involved in review of Detail Engineering documents of Ammonia Revamp. Phase‐I execution of revamp project shall be carried in Oct‐2015.

PLANT PERFORMANCE AND RELIABILITY MONITORING
‐ Daily monitoring of plant operating parameters and highlighting areas of plant optimization and improvement for operation team.

‐ Improvement of ammonia plant refrigeration system by installation of the two old ammonia refrigeration condensers in parallel to existing condensers.
‐ Detailed evaluation and implementation of the series to parallel cooling water supply to all CO2condensers at Ammonia Catacarb CO2 removal system resulted in margin in urea CO2compressor.

JOB SPECIFIC CHALLENGES AND EXPERIENCE
‐ Ammonia Plant CATACARB (CO2 absorption system) suffered from worst Foaming experience in Sep‐2012 due to activated carbon slip into system. Ammonia Plant suffered from extensive production loss during incident. As a process engineer directly involved in identifying,addressing and encountering operational issues caused by foaming of catacarb solution. Most challenging, hectic professional experience gave me opportunities to enhance my professionalcore values (e.g Problem solving, Courageous and decisive, Facing the facts and involving each & every individual to play his role for crisis management).
‐ Ammonia plant was CF‐Barun designed in 1960. Working with KBR 1st purifier technology and suffered from various operational issues. However utilization past experience of relocated plantenabled plant reliable operation through lesson learning’s.
