INTRODUCTION

Genre whi+h is the term used to reer to parti+ular tetBtypes, has two
dierent %inds. ;urthermore, ea+h %ind o genre has dierent so+ial un+tion,
dierent s+hemati+2generi+ stru+ture, and dierent language eatures. Two
dierent %inds o genres are Story Genre and ;a+tual Genre. &oth o them hae
13 tet types in total. Story Genre distinguishes the 3 tet types, meanwhile there
are 1) tet types o ;a+tual Genre.
0ost o Story Genre has the same so+ial un+tion, it is Cto amuse2entertain
the readers through the story insideD. ?ontroersy, ;a+tual Genre en+ourages to
tell the readers more about inormation based on the a+t. 0oreoer, the readers
are supposed to analyEe and gie their own mind. 5ue to ea+h types o tet that
are diided into Story and ;a+tual Genre, some tet types hae a similarity. Then,
they +ould be a pair o genreF. Those pairs o genres are: arratie and =e+ount

detail. et, the readers will be able to deine what pro+edure tet is. &eside that,

designed to des+ribe how something is a+hieed through a seuen+e o a+tions or
steps. t eplains how people perorm dierent pro+esses in a seuen+e o steps.
This tet uses simple present tense, oten imperatie senten+es. t also uses the
temporal +onun+tion su+h as irst, se+ond, then, net, inally, et+.
Other definition:
A pro+edure is a spe+iied series o a+tions or operations whi+h hae to be
ee+uted in the same manner in order to always obtain the same result under the
same +ir+umstan+es (or eample, emergen+y pro+edures!. <ess pre+isely
spea%ing, this word +an indi+ate a sequence o tas%s, steps, de+isions, +al+ulations
and pro+esses, that when underta%en in the seuen+e laid down produ+es the
des+ribed result, produ+t or out+ome. A pro+edure usually indu+es a +hange. t is
in the s+ientii+ method.
