COLD START UP:

Isolate PV-1021 and PV-1026.

Open fully d/s isolating valve of PV-1021.

Open by-pass of PV-1026 fully.

Control FG pressure through by-pass of PV-1021@ 2~2.5 Kg cm2 (Station one operator at this valve).

Keep pilot burner PCV de-isolated.

Keep pilot burners combustion air intake ports wide open.

If wind direction is from South West to North East. Open air dampers of burners B 2 to 3 steps and burners A/C 3 to 4 steps. After purge is complete close stack damper from CCR to 40% open.

Keep pilot burner individuals isolating valves wide open.

Ignite all three pilot burners one by one, (let these stabilize for half an hour).

Ask instrument crew to make arrangements for main burners scanners out put display (Three multi meter).

When temperature at TI-1058 crosses 130 OC, try to ignite 1st main burner( draft at this point > -2 mm H2O.

Pinch individual main burners isolating valve to 45~50% open.

Open main burner FG header valve through PB.

Ignite main burner one at a time, maintain FG pressure PV.1021 2~2.5 Kg/cm2 OR at PV-1026 2~1.5 Kg/cm2.

Note out put of main burners scanners, if it is fluctuating close stack damper by 2% and observe out put.

If out put is yet not stable reduce opening of stack damper further by 2%.

Get out put of scanner 15~18 mV by increasing / decreasing opening of main burner I/V.

When burners out put is stable and ~15~18 mv, start 2nd burner and maintain pressure at PV-1026.2~1.5 Kg/cm2. Stabilize the burner flame in the same way as did in case of 1st burner. Dont forget to shift scanner out put meter to 2nd burner scanner.

When both burners are stable, flow to FG header should be about 75~85 NMC/hrs (This will give an idea of I/V pinching).

Shift FG pressure control in CCR by opening U/S I/V of PV-1021 fully and closing by-pass slowly in steps.

Shift pressure control of PV-1026 in CCR in same way, its both I/Vs are already open.

When control has shifted in CCR remove pinching of main burners I/Vs one at time very slowly. Flow of FG should not increase more than 10~15 M3/hrs in one step. When pinching is being removed. Reduce pressure at PV.1026 say by 0.2 Kg.cm2 in a step.
