The Prostaff X is a precision lightweight clamp tool that fits all construction types.

Simply set up with the superior clamping system, plumb, attach the line and commence.

Place the intermediary stay as you go, and joint when appropriate.

No mountains of additional equipment needed, and you will recoup your outlay in about one week. The system will allow you to build brick, block, stonework, including for splays, piers, panels, shafts, and chambers, etc; with consistent precision.

The following setup, is a straight or stop-end external to an internal slight splay and to a door frame external corner, and so most constructions are accomplished on this one integral unit.

The Prostaff is free standing and you can work up to it without any obstruction.

Chasing the Prostaff from one section to a rack corner and then through the return gable.

No need to build any corners traditionally, simply fix the Prostaff’s and lay to the line.

Simply set to the brickwork freestanding, plumb, attach the line, and commence.

You can also fix batons to the timber frame and to a stay fixed at staff top.

Simply lift-in, to lay any size blockwork. Will also lift and lay most paving slabs.

To Set: place the tool and adjust on the back and front holes for the clossest fit possible.

Adjust for wear or depth of joint, simplyplace card or dpc shim’s under the iron, and secure with Bolt.

Specials can be made to order for most all types of joints. You can take off the wheels (or not) and use these irons in the old way; at a reduced cost of complete tools.

All Tooling: use long strokes to form & seal the joint. Then angle your laying trowel to cut any excess mortar from the brick edges. Then lightly brush for a clean perfect finish.

A nail raking facility is also provided forpreparation works in re-pointing, or fora raked recessed joint in dry situations.

Pointmaster is a 1st place award winning tool that produces regulation NHBC standards.

INSTRUCTIONS: Refer to all notes and boxes.

1. Pre rake the bed joint. The screwdriver provided will gauge the width and depth.

2. Aline the staff with the clamp; with clamp adjusting screws flush to the back.

3. With the Hitch on the Clamp Top place as shown (and adjust in the Hitch Slot to meet brick line, if needed). Then plumb the staff (using adjusting screws, if needed), then lightly secure the main bolt, to enable the clamp to slide at final fix.

4. Slack off the Hand-Wheels and plumb the other plain, and then tighten up the Main-Bolt and the Hand-Wheels, bit by bit in sequence, to final fix.

5. Move the Hitch-Top to your first Gauge-Mark and secure with the Thumb-Screw. Place the line as shown, and sand the Clamp Top for easy release, upon completion.

(The main-bolt is powerful, so do not over-tighten, as this could result in brick end crush).

(Check for plumb at intermediary stay locations).

(You can also fix to 2 courses, but 3 is preferred for superior additional strength and stability of the Staff).

PROSTAFF X Intermediary Stay

For the external corner the intermediary stay is placed at the top hole as the works proceed and secured with the wing bolt.

You then adjust the thumb screws to meet with the brick face in order to keep the staff plumb.

For the internal corner (and similar) the stay is placed into the lower hole as the works proceedand secured with the wing bolt.

Insert the hook bolts into the thread holes and hooked over the back of the brick. Sand over and bed the next course and adjust the wing nut to keep the staff plumb.

Long hook bolts are also providedfor 150 mm reach.
