Pyramids have triangular side faces that meet at one vertex.

We are going to study the square pyramid.

Square pyramids have 4 faces.

Square pyramids have 5 vertices.

Square pyramids have 8 edges.

Cylinders

• A cylinder has one face.

Cones

Cones• A cone has a circular base.

• A cone has one edge.

• A curved surface connects the base to the vertex.
