Remarkable red-brick architecture and nineteenth-century Victorian-style buildings are some of the city’s most delightful features. Spend time exploring the town or see the Reversing Falls, a tidal phenomenon that reverses the � ow of the Saint John River.

DAY 6: HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADAHalifax, the capital of Nova Scotia, evokes a feeling of peace with its small-town charm. Stroll the historic waterfront, an inviting scene for entertainment, dining, and shopping. Or, perhaps visit Citadel Hill, a star-shaped fortress that pays homage to its roots with military uniform-clad guides.

DAY 7: SYDNEY, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA A colonial seaport, Sydney is situated on lovely Cape Breton Island, serving as a gateway to the island’s many historic treasures. Nova Scotia’s second-largest city celebrates its colonial and Celtic history with pride, featuring landmarks from the late 1700s, such as the Cossit House, the Jost House, and St. Patrick’s, the island’s oldest Roman Catholic church.

DAY 8: CRUISING THE GULF OF ST. LAWRENCE

DAY 9: SAGUENAY, QUÉBEC, CANADAAdmire Saguenay’s verdant mountains, high plateaus, and sharp-edged peaks.
