Submission InfoWelcome to the new Remote Residency program at Island Farm Press: Prints By Post!

Prior to March 2020, artists had been invited to create a limited edition print in our studio through our residency program, The Aviary. Although we're sad not to be able to drink tea with you and make a mess together, we are excited to continue collaborating with artists in this modified form.

Overall dimensions of the postcard will be 4 x 6”, so please keep your design to 3.5 x 5.5” at 300 dpi

Paper choices are from French Paper Company: Sweet Tooth White, Kraft White (recycled), Brown Box Kraft (recycled), Steel Grey (recycled), Plum Punch Purple (recycled).

If you are familiar with separating color layers for screenprinting, that’s great! Please submit a multi-layer file, or each layer as a separate file. Illustrator or Photoshop files are preferred, but all kinds are welcome - we’re flexible!

If not, you can find our quick overview PDF here: Preparing Your Art : Things to Know about Screenprinting at www.islandfarmpress.com/for artists/Or we’re happy to do it for you!

In addition to your artwork, please submit a separate file of your signature and handwritten date. This can be a clear, well lit photograph, or whatever is easiest.

We’d also love for your to submit a photo of yourself and an artist statement or bio to include with your work and a link to your website and/or IG account.

Finally, please fill out the Artist Release Form attached and return with your submission.

We currently have five papers from French Paper Company to choose from.

The three on the right work well with most colors, while the purple and grey are best for opaque inks.

The purple looks really nice with silver ink, and the grey is great with white.

Please specify paper preference when submitting design, and feel free to ask any questions about which might be best for your artwork.
