Dum medium silentium (1/5) unaccompanied mixed choir (SATB) choral score language: Latin UE 37125 £ 2.50 | $ 3.50
The motet “Dum medium silentium“ concerns the waiting for the Christ Child during the Advent season.
Angelus ad pastores ait (2/5) unaccompanied mixed choir (SATB) choral score language: Latin UE 37126 £ 2.50 | $ 3.50 This Latin Christmas motet is about the Annunciation of the angels to the shepherds.
Five Christmas Motets
These new choral pieces for the Christmas period are equally suitable for concerts as well as the liturgy. Max Beckschäfer has consciously used less known lyrics from the liturgy of Christmas. He wanted the pieces to be short and diverse. They can be performed alone or within a cycle (with the whole cycle lasting about 10 minutes).

Judas mercator pessimusNr. 2 aus Fünf Passionsmotettenfür gemischten Chor a cappella
Five Passion Motets
These five motets for five-part mixed choir describe several stations of the suffering of Jesus – starting with Holy Thursday until Holy Saturday. The Latin lyrics are taken from the Passion Week’s responsories. The music uses extended tonality and is reflective of the text and seasonal nature of the pieces. A demanding musical texture is created in the way the five vocal lines are used. The motets can be performed individually or as a cycle of works with a total duration of 12 minutes.
In monte Oliveti (1/5)
unaccompanied mixed choir (SSATB)choral score language: Latin UE 37168 £ 2.50 | $ 3.50

Judas mercator pessimus (2/5)
unaccompanied mixed choir (SSATB) choral score language: Latin UE 37169 £ 2.50 | $ 3.50
No. 2 deals with the betrayal of Judas (“Judas mercator pessimus”).

Missa brevis (A minor)
unaccompanied mixed choir (SSATB) choral score language: Latin UE 37207 £ 10.99 | $ 14.95
This short mass contains the movements “Kyrie-Gloria-Sanctus-Benedictus” and “Agnus Dei“ – the “Credo” is not set to music. The composition is suitable for liturgical use, as well as for concert performance. Due to the complex harmony this Missa brevis needs an experienced and efficient choir. It is recommended that the choir should not be too small.
