TA9 are enjoying their new class!
Once again we have had an extremely busy, eventful
and positive term at Peg’s Creek.
Please take the opportunity to reflect on some of our
achievements and celebrations for the term. Most
recently, we managed to get our beautiful school back
in order after Cyclone Veronica. We survived the
chaos of interm swimming lessons, our student
leaders recently attended their annual leadership day
at the Leisureplex, we celebrated the National Day of
Anti-Bullying with a successful whole school read and
Buddy Class activities, took time to acknowledge
Harmony Day by wearing orange, we held another
extremely successful Easter raffle raising funds for
the Year 6 camp to Broome next term.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my
amazing staff. I know many parents have taken up an
invitation to meet with their children's teachers during
the term. From these meetings you will be aware of
the complexities each class has, the time the teachers
take to plan their curriculum to engage, enthuse and
progress each individual in their care. Please continue
to communicate closely with your child's teacher,
either in person or via emails and telephone calls. Our
support staff also work tirelessly behind the scenes
ensuring that staff, students and parents are always
supported to the best of our abilities at Peg’s Creek
Primary.

There have been minmal changes as a result of the

CYCLONE VERONICA CLEAN UP
I would like to thank our school community for their
amazing patience and understanding with the closure
of our school after the cyclone. Unfortunately, we
cannot open if there are any safety concerns. Due to
the age of our school, we always have debris from our
beautiful trees. Thanks to Northwest Tree Lopping and
Turf Guru. We were able to salvage part of our
beautiful mahogany for the students to enjoy. A huge
thank you to our amazing gardener Andy Bradshaw
who has done an awesome job in preparing our school
to reopen.
YOUNG LEADERS DAY
This year our Leadership Day was held at the
Leisureplex on April 1. Our Prefects and Faction
Leaders attended the conference where they worked
in teams with the student leaders from all other
Karratha schools.
Thank you to Mrs Nichole Smith, who accompanied our
school team.
