(Inter alia to cover safety performance of the Zonal Railway, areas of concern for the Zonal

Railway, Comments of health of infrastructure, timely action on safety related works,

indents, plans, pending approvals etc. in GM’s own words.)

Timely action on safety related works-

(a) All applicable PPE’s like Industrial safety shoe, Helmet, Hand gloves etc. have been

provided to all staff.

(b) Different type of safety poster like Emotional safety poster, Safety Instruction poster

and use of applicable PPEs have been displayed over entire focused area of

workshop.

(c) Installation of F.E. Booth along with accessories, provision of mobile water tank

trailer and redressed of Hydrant point with fire fighting accessories for immediate

action against fire disaster.

(d) Installation of CO2 flooding system at paint shop Godown to arrest fire at any

moment.

14.1 GOOD WORKS DONE

(i) Bio-metric Attendance is being rolled out in Liluah Workshop. 03 Shops has been covered

and finger print of Workshop staff is being scanned for implementation in all shops with

targeted completion by 31.12.2019.

(ii) Liluah Workshop has undertaken conversion of LS-3 type of LHB coaches to LS-5

(Air Suspension). First coach (No. 16424) has been converted in the month of October, 2019.

Bogies of MCF & RCF are awaited for further conversion.

(iii) Off POH coaches of “PROJECT UTKRISHT” consisting of seventy two (72= 14 AC + 58 NAC) coaches turned out during this month of Oct-19. (Cumulative= 532 coaches)

This is the highest ever “PROJECT UTKRISHT” outturn during this year.

(iv) Retro fitment of environment friendly Bio-Toilet has been achieved in overall thirty five (35) coaches and total 87 Bio-Tanks have been fitted during this month.(Cumulative 379 coaches with 1114 bio-tanks)

(v) Two (02) nos camping coaches (RCC) have been converted during this month(96253-WGSCN to 96903-RCC & 94267 WGSCN to 94933-RCC). Cumulative RCC-05 nos.

(vi) During this month eight (08) hybrid coaches have been fitted with 28 nos. Bio-Tanks. (Cumulative

22 coaches 70 nos. Bio-Tanks)

(vii) HRMS position for the month.

The availability of Safety Items for ICF Coaches and Wagons needs to be improved upon to the “Minimum Satisfactory level of 100%”. For ensuring the above, all Safety Items with “Low Stock” should have “Covered Dues” along with available DP.
