+. "e chose this book because the book tells a stor! of a beautiful and famous lad!,

&incess 'iana. "e often hear the name ad! 'i, but we do not know her stor! well.

This book tells us the life and love stor! of &rincess 'iana.

-. *enerall!, the stor! takes place in ondon, England.

. The main character of the stor! of course &rincess 'iana herself. Also there are

another character such &rince )harles, &rince "illiam, &rince Harr!, )amilla, and so

on.

The stor! is about &rincess 'iana/s life. How she does her 0ob as a princess, how her marriage with &rince )harles is and so on. This stor! guides us to know 'iana/s life

from her birth until her last time.

1. The main conflict in the stor! is the problem of 'iana and )harles/s marriage. This is

a marriage of three. The stor! tells how 'iana passes the entire problem as a princess.

. "e like the book because the book is eas! enough to understand. The language used is

so light and it helps the stor! delivered well. Reading this book is like seeing a 'iana/s

life from the beginning to end. The stor! represents ever!thing about 'iana.

was unhapp!. "hen 'iana was onl! six, her mother, 6rances, ran awa! with another

"hen 'iana was nine, she went to Riddlesworth Hall 4chool. 4he was a good student.

At school she began to be interested in charit!.

'iana met &rince )harles for the first time at a funeral. A !ear later, 7ul! $83=, &rince

)harles began to look at 'iana with new e!es. &rince )harles was alread! +2. )harles

was twelve !ears older than 'iana. 6rom then on he was seriousl! interested in her

As the wife of a prince, 'iana should come to the surface and meet lots of people. The

sh! girl now should be able to speak in front of her people. Also she learnt how to getdressed well. 4ometimes she chose bravel! 5 a low<cut, short black dress, for example.

Then 'iana became a mother too. Her first bab!, "illiam, was born on 2$ 7une $832

and her second bab!, &rince Harr!, was born two !ears later. 'iana was now a bus!

 princess, wife and mother. 4he wanted to have the same famil! as others and look after 

her sons b! herself. "hen she was 2-, she was working with eighteen charities.

Ever!one likes her and she was popular. ?ut in private, she was alone with her 

troubles.

'iana/s life as a &rincess going worse. 4he felt tired and tr!ing to do suicide for times.

4he married for love, but perhaps )harles didn/t. :n public, the! were still husband

and wife, but in private the! life in separate part. 'iana was working hard for the

Ro!al 6amil! and the countr!. "hen her health got worse, )arol!n asked her to see

doctor. Then she got a treatment from a doctor and going better. 4he learnt to give her 

love to the poor and ill people that she met through her charit! work. ?ut ever!thing

got worse. At home, there are )harles person/ and 'iana person/. The! now lived

two separate lives in the famil! too. 'iana was beginning to make a new life for 

herself. :t was difficult, and she was often unhapp!, but it was the onl! wa! out.

$882 is a terrible !ear for 'iana. :n this !ear, her much<loved father died and her 

sister/s marriage, 4arah, with &rince Andrew was over. Then a new book come out

was doing her best for them. 'iana/s new life had good times in it. 4he had plent! of

ever!where 'iana in. 'iana and 'odi were deepl! in love and wanted to have a

holida!. ?ut suddenl! papara##i ended their holida!. The! were tr!ing to escape from

the papara##i. The papara##i pursuing them Cuickl!. Dnfortunatell!, the car which

 bring 'iana and 'odi run too fast. :t hit a wall. The crash killed 'odi and the driver at

once. 'iana was still alive, but she was ver badl! hurt. 4he died at about four o/clock 

in the morning. 'uring the week, newspaper, television and radio were full of 'iana/s

sad stor!. Also the m!ster! about the car crash was growing. "e know now that the

driver, Henri &aul, had too much to drink that evening. 4ome people even thought that

it was murder. 'iana/s funeral was one week after she died. Ever!one was sad of this.
