Dr Pamela Kushner, fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), received her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine. She is a clinical professor in family medicine at the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine. She is also a family physician in private practice in Downey, Calififornia, and a past director of the osteoporosis diagnostic center in Los Alamitos, California. Dr Kushner is the past California representative to the AAFP. She was the first female president of the Long Beach Medical Association. Widely recognized as an expert in preventive medicine, Dr Kushner has published articles in several journals. Dr Kushner is a member of several professional associations.
