Students and groups of minimum 20 persons receive a 20% discount. Group discounts apply to children as well as adults. Children aged 0-2 are admitted for free.

The entrance closes 1 hour before the above-mentioned times.On 24 December, the zoo is open to the general public free of charge.

Aalborg Zoo is closed on 31 December and 1 January.

Aalborg Zoo has done a lot to make the zoo easily accessible for small children, elderly people and people with disabilities.The following may contribute to a more enjoyable trip to Aalborg Zoo:

• Wheelchairs are available for free (ask the staff at the entrance)

• Disabled carers are admitted for free (ask the staff at the entrance)

• Guide dogs, and dogs in general, are permitted at Aalborg Zoo

Aalborg Zoo has enrolled in the marking scheme with the association: “Accessibility for all” which means that we offer excellent conditions for people with different types of disabilities.The mark is given for accessibility within one or more of the following seven disability categories:

• People with walking, arm and hand disabilities

• The visually-impaired

• The hearing-impaired

• Asthmatics and people with allergies

• People with mental disabilities

• People with reading difficulties.

Facilities for the disabled

Before you bring your dog to the Zoo…

...it is important that you familiarise yourself with our dog policy.

The following must be adhered to

• Always keep your dog on a short lead

• Keep your distance from children

• Never let your dog jump against the animal enclosure

• Never let your dog be a nuisance to the zoo animals and the other guests

• Droppings from your dog must be picked up

• Please note that dogs are not permitted in some animal houses and enclosures.

Welcome to precious experiences at the Zoo

In order to make your visit as enjoyable as possible we have gathered a selection of useful information below:

• It is possible to rent pushcarts

• You will find free parking for more than 800 cars within 500 meters

• Changing stations are located around the zoo (see map in the brochure handed out at the entrance)

• Ponchos and umbrellas are available for purchase at Zoo Shoppen

• Wheelchairs are available

• Disabled carers are admitted for free

• Dogs on a lead are admitted

• Normal visiting time is last measured at between 3 and 5 hours

• Aalborg Zoo is non-smoking both inside and outside but we have smoking zones as well

• Our lost and found department is located at the administration building and at ZooShoppen. Ask the staff, they will be happy to help you.

There are several restaurants at the Zoo where you can buy a wide selection of food and drinks.We emphasize good craftsmanship, ethics and morals and we choose quality foods a little better than what you normally experience. We offer modern quality fast food, sandwiches, salads, desserts, daily specials, lunch dishes and open sandwiches in a varied assortment to Aalborg Zoo’s guests during opening hours.

Where to eat

Tables and benches can be found around the zoo where own food may be eaten. Several of these places are roofed.

Barbecues have also been placed around the zoo. These are available for grilling food brought from home. The barbecues will be turned off approx. 1 hour before closing time.
