M A I N A T T R A C T I O N SMain AttractionsWhat main films will play at the Garden? This section lists the Main Attractions that we intend to play in the coming weeks. Additional unlisted films will also become available. This list is only an educated guess, though, since film release plans often change. When will these main films play? Scheduling our Main Attractions is week-to-week. On Monday, we decide what main films will play starting that Friday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we set the showtimes for the upcoming week and then update our website and telephone hotline. We also send out a weekly email (which you can receive by signing up at our website). Sometimes, we book a main film a few weeks in advance, which we post on our website’s “Coming Attractions” section. For our latest Main Attractions plans, visit: PrincetonGardenTheatre.org (Or call our hotline at 609-279-1999.)

Frankenstein Danny Boyle directed a sensational production with Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller alternating roles as Victor Frankenstein and his “creature.” Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered crea-ture is cast out into a hostile universe by his maker. Meeting with cruelty wher-ever he goes, the friendless creature, increasingly desperate and vengeful, de-termines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal. Captured live on March 17 & 24, 2011 at the National Theatre, South Bank, London.

Anastasia Running Length TBA Kenneth MacMillan’s poignant full-length ballet is a compelling exploration of identity in the turbulent wake of the Russian Revolution. A haunting, expressionist work of dual influences - classical tradition set to music of Tchaikovsky and Martinü in the first two acts, and German expressionism underscored by electronics com-posers Fritz Winckel and Rüdiger Rüfer in the final. Inspired by the true story of Anna Ander-son, a woman who believed herself to be Anas-tasia, youngest daughter of Tsar Nicholas II.
