GENERAL INFORMATION
All dancers entering South African Body of Dance Competitions must register on an annual basis, regardless of their status........
In order to prepare the appropriate timetable, please respect the deadline for entries to be submitted.
Registrations are open. Please be in contact with Tracy Cole-Edwardes – [email protected]. Contact
Tracy at the SABOD office line for an easy step by step guide on how to register your studio and students on
line. Mariette can also assist with any registration or entry queries on 011 907-7280.
Proof of payment must accompany invoice to make sure that your registrations are processed correctly.
Entry forms are available from the South African Body of Dance office
All teachers wanting to enter their pupils sections must be in possession of a rule book and have attended the
annual compulsory meeting in the current year. Competition meeting: 6th March 2016, Time: 14:00 pm for
14:30 pm, Venue: Irene Primary School, C/R Bruce and Main Road, Irene, Pretoria
Teachers wanting to enter South African Body of Dance Competitions must register their studio & dancers a
month before closing date of competition.
All registrations for studios & students and competition entries will be done on-line

REGISTRATION FEES
All status (Novice, Amateur, Champs & WTC) annual registration fee R200.00
COMPETITION FEES FOR 2016 R250.00 per dancer for the first discipline entered per competition. Plus R50.00 payable thereafter for each additional discipline entered. (If more styles are offered per
competition)
R50.00 will be charged for every correction made at competitions as this affects our timetable. If a late entry has to be accepted at the competition the full entry fee plus additional R50.00 must be paid immediately if this entry is accepted. This late entry will only be accepted subject to the dancer already registered in the studio database.

Important Information for WTC Categories: These sections form the basis of the selection process in place to elect the South African dancers who will
represent their country at the annual IDO (International Dance Organization) World Championships. The Rule book stipulates the selection criteria governing South African Trials. The IDO is the controlling body of the World Championships in the relevant disciplines. The competitions
listed herewith serve as heats within the spectrum of the World Trial Circuit sections for 2016.
