Preston is one of only a handful of towns and cities in the country to be awarded the prestigious Purple Flag accreditation, demonstrating the city centre’s achievement in creating a safe, easily accessible, lively & vibrant night out.

Its diverse clientele and abundance of social activities validates Preston’s determination in maintaining high standards.

You may have been on ghost walks before, but few have explored Preston, it's shadows, shame and silent sunder. Prestfest presents a unique and immersive night of drama as we travel back 200 years to bring to life Church Street's violent history of murder, bloodshed and suicide. Follow the marionettes of murder, two lively & interactive storytellers accompanied by haunting sounds from a live musician. All tales are based on true stories. We have something to tell you, tales without happy endings, the devil is in the detail...come with us.

The tour lasts for one hour and isn’t suitable for those under 15. Meet at the Cenotaph, on the Flag Market for 7.15pm for this FREE tour, on Saturday 1st February.

Prestfest is funded by the city’s Business Improvement District (BID) and organised in partnership with the Preston by Night group, made up of representatives from bars, entertainment venues, night clubs, restaurants and hotels across the city centre.
