Georgia Bureau of Investigation News Release Contact: Joe Montgomery, Assistant Special Agent in Charge 706/200-6471 For Immediate Release April 10, 2016 Fort Oglethorpe Child Death Investigation Fort Oglethorpe, GA – On Sunday, April 10, 2016, at approximately 4:00 pm, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), Region one office was contacted by the Fort Oglethorpe Georgia Police Department and was requested to assist with an investigation involving the body of a 18 month old white male found unresponsive in the pool at Oglethorpe Ridge Apartments off Cloud Springs Road, in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. The child was taken to Hutchenson Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia, and later transported to T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. The child later on that evening passed away at T.C Thompson. The child, Noah Livingston Smith, was living at 1007 Oglethorpe Ridge Lane, in Fort Oglethorpe. The child will be taken to the GBI Medical Examiners’ office in Decatur, Georgia, where an autopsy will be performed pursuant to Georgia Law.

Fort Oglethorpe Child Death Investigation
