With one foot in rock (Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, StoneTemple Pilots), another in electronic (The Crystal Method, Moby, Prodigy,Massive Attack) and neurons filled by Brazilian cultural pluralism –

ranging from Titãs to Chico Science - mixing poetry urban with brokenbeats - the musician and producer Paulo Rocha started Autorall, theproject, which expresses a legitimate fusion of these influences.

After successful forays into the world of independent music with projectslike Space Cake (2000), Videodrome (2002) and Pornophonia (2005),Paulo started the project Autorall in 2007, the same year he left hishometown (Santos / SP) and moved to Sao Paulo in search of new

horizons, embracing the capital city as his new home and source of inspiration for his street, incisive and multidisciplinary art.Recording all the instruments (guitars, bass, synths and vocals) in 2010he released the EP "The Number Uno Project", and performed live inhouses and clubs as Matilha Cultural and Outs Club.

Originally a "One-man-band", the project has had the participation of musicians like the guitarist Felipe Machado (VIPER band), drummer Flip

Stipp (ex-Medulla, Tremulla and Kiko Zambianchi), and now counts as acontributor the drummer Gus Conde, a Los Angeles-based Santos, whowas recently invited to join the pop singer Rihanna’s support band,becoming the first brazilian musician to performr at American MusicAwards", one of the main prizes of American music.

The lyrics deal with common themes to the collective unconscious, as theparanoia of modern society, including the loss and recovery of identity

(you are what you think and produces and NOT ONLY what you HAVE),the enhancement of positive thoughts and authorial ideas (drawing of thisconcept the project’s name: Autorall), environmental awareness (globalwarming) and many other elements of proactive people and their creativeand restless’ minds.

For those who will stay in Sao Paulo on holiday, here's a suggestion for Saturday night: see the presentation of Autorall, Paulo Rocha project hatmixes rock and roll and electronic music.

Nine Inch Nails is one of my favorite bands, and I always wonderedwhy there are not more representatives artists of this style (rock,electronic, industrial environment) in Brazil. Okay, this is not the mostcommercial music style in the world, but I think you can be creative byadding bits and beats - is further proof that Trent Reznor himself. Theleader of NIN is the smartest and most talented guys that haveemerged in recent years in music.

Paulinho, who came from Santos and now appears on the scene of SaoPaulo, has a very nice job on that line. He is the brain (in additionto guitars and computers) behind Autorall.In addition to sound very, shall we say, 'intense', the Autorall hassome really nice lyrics."Who does not love you does not deserve you 'is a smart and simple
