PRESS NOTE

Good morning and a warm word of welcome to everyone who has been able to join us this morning.

What an amazing day and what a fantastic opportunity for us all to come together to share in

DECENNIAL CELEBRATIONS.

This Institution is a vision envisaged by a visionary called Mr. C.Vinaya Kumar, with an aim to translate

our society into knowledge based society

.JNTU's pioneering efforts to bring Engineering studies to the door steps of brilliant whiz kids of our State

Andhra Pradesh has paved the way for many of us to churn in boys & girls with knowledge, wisdom and

fire.

Our college is an aesthetically, ergonomically designed structure in congenial environment with state-of-

the art technology backed by a dedicated team of faculty. This apt amalgamation creates the perfect &

precise ambience for students to come, join, meet and learn the art of engineering in different fields.

We dream of transforming the students into successful human beings, knowledgeable human beings,

rather than machines making wealth.

The seeds for NCET were sown in early nineties in a town called Nizamabad, Andhra Pradesh, India,

where the Nishitha Degree & PG Colleges are located.

The Founder Principal and Chairman Sri. C. BHOOMAIAH GARU, was a renowned Teacher, Lecturer

with commitment, Dedication Hard work and Discipline. He translated his dream into reality by

establishing a Degree College under Nishitha Educational academy in 1994. He was the man behind the

success and saga of academic achievements of this era in Nizamabad

The idea was to establish an institution of not just imparting technical education but to transform it into a

hub of knowledge, experience and expertise.

Nishitha College of Engineering & Technology was started in the year 2003 EEE, ECE,CSE, ME with

just 150 Students, Now the strength of the college is about 2500 student.

The Institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education,(AICTE), Government of AP, and is

affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, (JNTU), Hyderabad, is presently conducting

B.Tech Courses in CSE, ECE, IT, EEE and Mechanical, In addition to these courses, NCET is also

conducting Post graduate programms MBA, M.Tech(VLSI), M.Tech Embedded Systems), M.Tech

(CSE),M.Tech (CS),M.Tech, (Software Engineering) and M.Tech (Power Electronics), M.Tech(Thermal

Engineering).

Since 2003 and until now the Nishitians are working in globally acclaimed and fortune 500 companies

such as IBM, Microsoft, CA, Oracle, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Satyam, Accenture, Cognizant, Convergys

and other Government organizations like ISRO, ONGC, JNTU to name a few.

Prof. Vijay Kumar, Director, Former Rector, JNTU, An educationist par excellence, steadfast in values

and principles is the guiding force of NCET since its inception.

The developing infrastructure of the college is truly bound to make the campus, Nationally competent in

the coming years.

Even though just Seven of the batches have graduated, the campus placements in the college have

been steadily improving, and in the coming years it is being aimed to achieve 100% placements. The T&P

department has put all endeavors to get the big companies associated with the college and it would not

be wrong to expect the best companies (like Microsoft, Infosys, Google and IBM) coming to NCET in nearfuture.

Many of the students of the College have had good ranks in competitive examinations like CAT, GATE,

GRE and the results in the University Examinations have also been brilliant with a rate of 100% success

in every semester. More than 100 students of NCET are studying abroad in US, UK and other universities

with lucrative scholarships.

Apart from academic achievements the College has also put up sincere efforts to develop

Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes.
