Konica Minolta updates high end office communication system series

In mid September 2009 Konica Minolta is launching its new bizhub C452 – a first class multifunctional device (MFP) that stands for complete reliability and quality, up to date communication skills and unique environmental friendliness. Offering impressive versatility and processing high print volumes in monochrome and colour, it best serves all high end office environments, such as large workgroups, busy departments and CRDs. Konica Minolta also upgraded its bizhub C552’s and C652’s already extensive finishing capabilities.

“The bizhub C452 combines the performance and quality of a high-end colour office

Refining Developing System, it processes monochrome output at low costs

comparable with those of all black and white units. Altogether, it is the ideal solution

for every office environment requiring an efficient, first-class central communication

Featuring Konica Minolta’s skills to win, the new colour office system provides latest

technological innovations at an affordable price. With the advanced Emperon

controller, for instance, users can count on the seamless integration of the bizhub

C452 into any existing network infrastructure. This powerful controller also includes

the revolutionary MyTab printer driver tab which enables users to individually adjust

settings in one single screen. Moreover, MyTab recently received a prestigious BLI

“Outstanding Achievement Award”. A further feature, the bizhub OpenAPI, allows

control of print and scan functions from external and third-party software applications.

It gives customers an easy possibility to integrate their existing software into the

bizhub C452. OpenAPI also takes care of individually customised workflow

management. Consisting of several single applications, another skill to win, the

PageScope Suite software, facilitates account and data management. Users have a

constant overview of the MFP’s status and can easily manage documents stored in

user boxes directly from their PCs. In addition, with PageScope Suite administrators

can integrate new hardware into existing workflows and control output volumes.

The optionally embedded IC-412 Fiery colour print controller brings together three

essential characteristics to perfectly meet highest demands of creative professionals

and colour critical businesses – colour consistency, strength and productivity. Opting

for this powerful tool, users benefit from considerably enhanced colour processing

and colour management.

When it comes to colour quality, Konica Minolta’s own Simitri HD polymerised toner

guarantees crisp text and bright images second to none. The bizhub C452 delivers

printouts of the highest quality with long-lasting colours. To permanently assure the

entire system’s quality standards, CS Remote Care offers flexible and pro-active

service support. By automatically updating Konica Minolta about the device’s

performance, the remote monitoring application assures maximum system

availability without any user intervention – making a real impact on quality, reliability

and convenience.

Due to an optimal power control functionality and lower heating and fixing

temperatures, the office system proves its environmental soundness by using

significantly less power. A TEC (typical weekly energy consumption) value of about

60 percent below the latest Energy Star requirements makes the new Konica Minolta

colour office system the most eco-friendly MFP of its class.

Equal to the bizhubs C552 and C652, the bizhub C452 comes with standard state-of-

the-art hardware elements featuring 2 GB DDR2 memory, 250 GB hard disc drive,

1 GHz CPU and PCI Express bus technology that altogether deliver one thing: high-

speed performance. For maximum utilisation of these strong interior components,

customers can equip the bizhub C452 with a large variety of modular finishing

options that best fit their needs and offer attractive flexibility.

At the same time, Konica Minolta takes the finishing abilities of its bizhubs C552 and

C652 to the next level by adding new options to their enormous range of finishers.

For handouts and charts, the z-fold unit automatically folds A3 media to A4 size,

while an additional post inserter makes the handling of special or non-printable

media for covers straightforward. Allowing for faster access to different job outputs

such as copies and faxes, the job separator increases the MFPs’ ease of use.

Integrated in all bizhubs C452, C552 and C652, Konica Minolta also introduces the

latest i-Option edition. Besides economising the devices’ user operation, the smart

software solution provides enhanced MFP capabilities. In combination with an

embedded ORC engine it allows operators to create searchable and compact PDF

files on the fly.

with a 2009 BERTL’s Best award in the ‘Best Productive Color Printer Range’, our

bizhub C452/C552/C652 series re-defines the term multi-functionality,” outlines Lars

finishing, print media and controller capabilities for the Print for Pay market, such as

elements with embedded solutions and the OpenAPI opportunities of workflow

customisation, makes them true all-rounders for any kind of print businesses.”
