PUBLIC HEARING

of the

City Council of Lookout Mountain, Georgia

June 18, 2015

5:00 p.m.

PRESIDING: Sandy Gothard, Mayor

PRESENT: Council Members Beth Soloff, David Bennett, Caroline Williams, and Jim

Sabourin; Attorney Jed Roebuck (substituting for City Attorney Bill Pickering); City Manager

Brad Haven; City Clerk Cindy Roberts; and representatives of the media and interested citizens.

ABSENT: Council Member Taylor Watson; City Attorney Bill Pickering

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Gothard called the Public Hearing to order at 5:00 p.m. at City

Hall, 1214 Lula Lake Road, Lookout Mountain, Georgia.

BUDGET DISCUSSION: Mayor Gothard announced that the purpose of the public hearing

was to discuss and entertain questions and comments on the City’s amended budget for 2014-

2015 and proposed budget for 2015-2016. Copies of the amended and proposed budgets had

been submitted to the Council, and the public hearing had been advertised as required by the City

Charter. The amended budget for 2014-2015 reflected additional estimated expenditures

anticipated through June 30, 2015.

Mayor Gothard reviewed highlights of the amended budget and went over the proposed budget

in detail. Various questions and comments from the Council were received and discussed, and

the Mayor solicited questions and comments from the audience.

The Public Hearing was adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
