PRESIDENT’S LETTER

It is with a sense of accomplishment that I and our board

of directors will be turning over the management of our club to a newly elected board of directors on July 1. The last two years have been an amazing honor and it was a pleasure to serve our club. We can thank our outgoing board, our volunteers, and members for their generosity in the many modernization projects we have undertaken and the budgetary issues that were necessary over our term. I really hope all of us will continue the philosophies of "lots of people doing less," and "raise the money before we spend it." These will help keep our club healthy for a long time. There is no task that we cannot accomplish if we all work together. Our accomplishments over the last two years include: Our new lighted sign, our new parking lot, our new painted exterior, paint and pizza on the inside, Internet wi-fi, new air conditioner, refrigeration compressors, new flooring for the club throughout, roof leak repair, plumbing repairs, our kitchen cooling project and .... we managed to pay for these as we went forward. We should all feel proud of these results. Our future is very bright and I'm very excited about working with our new board and hope you will join me in giving them the same support you gave me and our current board. Love you all. See you at the club!

GOLF TOURNAMENT

George and I would like to say thank you for all the help we received in the last two years with the fundraisers and golf tournaments in Las Vegas and Laughlin. We would like to remind you of this year’s Laughlin tournament which will be September 29-30. We will be staying at the Edgewater or Colorado Belle. You can choose your own hotel. Edgewater is $58 a night plus tax, Colorado Belle is $48 a night plus tax. Please sign up early and support the Memorial golf tournament and Steve Oldham, our new golf president. George and I are sure he will make it bigger and better than all the years before. Sign up early and put it on your calendar so you will not miss the fun in Laughlin.
