Page 2: Preserve a Legacy

Thanks to the vision and tenacity of city officials and university administrators, University of Houston-Clear Lake and the City of Pearland saw the culmination of a dream in August 2010: the opening of a university campus to serve Pearland residents. Clearly there was a need and an interest for a “home-town” upper-level university, as both our Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 enrollment greatly surpassed original projections.

UHCL’s mission is to meet the educational needs of the community it serves, but for some there remains one obstacle toward attaining the dream of higher education beyond geography: finances. To ensure that bright, motivated Pearland community college students will be encouraged to pursue a bachelor’s and master’s degrees and become the business and civic leaders of the Pearland of tomorrow, scholarship support is essential.

With a significant contribution to the UHCL Pearland Campus Scholarship Endowment, you can invest in the future of Pearland and at the same time memorialize yourself, mentors or loved ones by naming a room at the Pearland campus. With a commitment of $65,000 or higher, you will be recognized on a naming plaque prominently displayed outside of the room and on a donor wall in the lobby. The following rooms are available for naming:
