The roller conveyor shot blast systems are an essential part of the overall preservation line. The parts (large steel sheets, tubes and round bars, angle bars and I-beams) travel on a roller conveyor through the pre-heaterchamber, the blast chamber and a blow-off/brush-off station. The high performance blast wheels – mounted tothe machine housing – ensure all-round and reproducible blast coverage of the parts, while providing an optimalpreparation of the parts surface for the subsequent primer coating.

Rösler is your single source for complete turn-key preser-vation lines for the surface treatment of unfinished steelproducts. Our focus is on cost-effective surface treatmentfor your parts, and high uptime for our equipment. As a single source supplier, Rösler is best qualified tointegrate surface treatment lines into existing manufactur-ing systems. We minimize the problems of interfacingthe components of the preservation line with the overallmanufacturing system, thus facilitating the overall invest-ment planning process for our customers.

Our services include:• Preparation of manufacturing layouts• Project management for our customers• Engineering/Fabrication/Installation• Modernisation of existing preservation lines• Spare parts, service and maintenance

Preservation lines are used for pre- and final coating. The main area of application is coating parts with awelding primer for temporary corrosion protection. A preservation line usually consists of specially engi-neered conveyor systems, a roller conveyor shot blastmachine, a pre-heater, an automatic paint spray systemand a subsequent dryer. Depending on the customerrequirements, different types of conveyor systems maybe used, such as roller conveyors, chain or slat convey-ors, cross conveyors, etc. The entire line is totally engi-neered around the specific application and size andgeometry of the parts.

The pre-heater, in connection with a blow-off unit, allows the processing of parts which are stored outsideand may be covered with moisture or even snow orice. Pre-heating the parts prevents moisture from contam-inating the steel media and it reduces the drying timeafter coating the parts with a primer. The primer, whichis sprayed onto the parts by the fully automatic paintingsystem, is dried in a dryer located behind the paintingsystem. Therefore, the treated parts are immediatelyavailable for the next manufacturing step without any delay.

Whether covered with rust orscale, whether processing sheetmetal, profiles, tubes or weldingconstructions, whether large orsmall: Paint systems from Rösleroffer the right solutions.

Material

1 Transport Systemse.g. roller conveyors, chain(slat) conveyors, conveyors for the painting section, crossconveyors ("lift and go"), forkconveyors, shuttle conveyors, drives and controls for auto-matic conveyor lines, partsturning and collecting systemsfor welding constructions and tubes.

2 Blow-off StationBlow off systems are utilized toremove moisture – for examplewater puddles – and loosedebris from the material to beprocessed.

3 Shotblasting MachinesRust and scale disappear in no time! The shot blastmachine makes sure that theparts are cleaned to customerspecifications.

4 Pre-HeaterIt shortens the drying time afterpainting. The pre-heater bringsthe material up to the paintingtemperature, thus facilitating thepaint process. Processing timesare greatly reduced!

6 Paint DryerThe drying takes place on a continuousbasis in many variations: In front orbehind the paint booth, heated by gas,oil or electric, with special oversprayextraction zones and cooling zones.Floor suction systems and moveabledryers. The length of the dryer dependson type of paint, thickness of the paintlayer and transport speed.

5 Patented Painting LinesIntelligent material scan systemsminimize overspray. The specialrotary brush pre-cleaner reducesthe dust load in the dust collec-tor by 60-80%

mixing and distribution systemsfor "2K", solvent or water-based paints and coatingmaterials, paint storage roomsaccording to WHG.
