Day 3 Wednesday, May 16 Auction Day! / P G Dunn Gallery / Amish Country Theater Today our local guide will begin our backroads Amish tour at the Heritage Center to learn the histo-ry of how the Amish and Mennonite groups formed. Today is Auction Day! We’ll visit Mt. Hope Auction Barn—the heartbeat of Amish Country! Then it’s a visit a demonstration by an Amish artisan basket maker. During our tour we’ll visit Lehman’s Hardware, a store of over 2 acres of non electric appliances, tools, kitchen utensils, games and much more. We will also stop at the P.G. Dunn gallery which specializes in Inspirational Art, home decor and personal-ized gifts. Our tour continues with a stop for an Amish buggy ride. Tonight we’ll enjoy an included dinner with an Amish family. The menu will consist of fresh home made bread, peanut butter spread, tossed salad, mashed potatoes, noodles, green beans, roast beef, chicken and pie for dessert. The evening concludes at the Amish Country Theater and laugh at the “Hee Haw” type show. . Day 4 Thursday, May 17 Amish Touring / Exotic Animal Park This morning we’ll visit a local cheese house and bakery. Then we make our way through the sce-nic back roads of the Amish community to our next adventure, The Farm at Walnut Creek. We board horse drawn wagons, pulled by Belgian or Percheron work horses as we drive through a scenic exotic animal park. Get face-to-face with watusi’s, scottish highlanders, ostrich, zebras, giraffe, etc. Our lunch on own stop is at a mega-Amish bulk food store, and then it’s on to Breitenbach Wine Cellars, which now produces over 40 varieties of grape and fruit wines. We’ll stop at Sugarcreek, Ohio, home of the world’s largest Cuckoo Clock! Our day is complete with a visit to Master Carver’s Warther’s Museum. The museum in-cludes 64 true to scale steam locomotives—made from ebony, ivory and walnut. Then we’ll enjoy an in-cluded catered dinner in the Ivory Room of the Museum.

Day 5 Friday, May 18 Historic Roscoe Village This morning we depart for Roscoe Village, a living museum of a restored 1830’s canal town. While strolling through the restored living histo-ry buildings, guests may see actual artisans at work, including a blacksmith, a weaver, a cooper and a broom maker; observe old-time cooking demon-strations and well groomed gardens displaying an array of colors and partic-ipate in hands-on learning demos like candle-dipping or weaving. We’ll en-joy a wonderful included dinner before overnighting in Ohio. Day 6 Saturday, May 19 Ohio / Tennessee We head towards home today with our final overnight in Tennessee Day 7 Sunday, May 20 Tennessee / Home This morning we depart for home with an included luncheon and many fond memories of a slower pace of life!
