Her work has been in consulting & designing mainly interiors ranging from homes, offices & retail. She now works in the area of Sustainability , Communications / Media, Client Engagement, Team Leadership, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Dissemination of Case Studies, Designing & Implementation. She has conceptualized a Rural Development Plan and compiled it as a case study under CSR, Urbanization of Rural India that has been published by PHD Chamber of Commerce. Some of her other presentations include: 1. Urban Planning ?Sustainable Development, in Institutionalizing Academia-Industry Interface, at PHD Chamber of Commerce 2. Sustainability Standards/Certifications for Energy Efficient Buildings, at India and Sustainability Standards, International; Dialogues and Conference 2015 3. Procurement of Services in Smart Cities- Policy Interventions for CSR Initiatives, at Conference 2016, AMITY UNIVERSITY NOIDA. She Launched an Online Magazine on Sustainability covering Green initiatives, Climate Change, Green Buildings, Technology, Cities and CSR. She also planned from concept to implementation, agenda to speakers, a Conference to Celebrate Earth Day on issues concerning existing cities, SMARTING THE EXISTING and facilitated NGO?s and multi-stakeholder Social Campaigns at Public Places, on the World Environment Day.

Ms Zeenat Niazi , Vice President, Development Alternatives

Zeenat Niazi is the Vice President at Development Alternatives. She has over 25 years? experience in the f ield of habitat processes and housing technology involving women construction workers, masons and Women?s Self Help Groups.

She has managed, coordinated and built capacities in numerous projects for the design of habitat processes in both social housing and post-disaster situations, including post-tsunami response init iatives in South India. Additional areas of Ms. Niazi?s professional engagement comprise the dissemination of large-scale environmentally friendly housing technologies in rural and urban areas, networking and policy development.

Akhil Bansal is the Deputy CEO of KPMG in India. He is responsible for service delivery and overall strategy implementation for the Firm in India.

Akhil is a Chartered Accountant and a rank holder. He has over 25 years of experience in audit operations and strategy implementation, and has worked closely with several prominent Indian business houses and multinationals. He also occupies posts at eminent institutions like the PHD Chamber of Commerce where he is a member of the management committee. He is Co-Chairman of the Economic Affairs Sub Committee,, member of the Board of Trustees of Sunderlal Jain Hospital and a member of the Board of Advisors of Literacy India, an NGO that helps underprivileged children get access to education.

Dr. Abhij i t Banerjee, Technical Advisor, GIZ IN

Since 2013, Abhijit has been working with GIZ-India to implement projects related to resource eff iciency and pollution prevention as part of Indo-German bilateral development cooperation. In the current Resource Eff iciency project, he is managing the component on construction and demolit ion (C&D) waste, the reuse of which has the potential to save primary resources and reduce environmental burdens.

Dr. Banerjee obtained his master?s and PhD degrees in Environmental Policy from the USA. Following his PhD, he worked as a faculty in Environmental Studies at Northeastern Il l inois University in Chicago, USA. Abhijit has more than a decade of research experience in the environmental policy f ield, having worked on projects funded by the US National Science Foundation, the US Environmental Protection Agency, etc., that have led to several peer reviewed publications and presentations at international conferences.

Mr Barun Aggarwal

Barun Aggarwal, CEO of BreatheEasy, is a serial entrepreneur with a versatile background and international experience spanning 20 years in several continents.He has founded and currently heads BreatheEasy Consultants Pvt Ltd. ? a company that helps individuals breathe pure air and helps companies implement solutions for improving Indoor Air Quality while reducing energy consumption.Barun actively engages in creating awareness campaigns on climate crisis and in disseminating the message of environment stewardship, especially amongst school children. He has also co-founded an NGO, ?Care for Air? to help create awareness about air pollution and health hazards associated with it.Barun is a member of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE). He is a member of the Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) Committee that is looking at creating one of the f irst standards in the world related to IEQ.

  Mr. Achim Rodewald   Advisor - Sustainability and Business Responsibility in Industries              At the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) / AHK Indien

By profession he is a journalist, holding an MBA according to the German Dual Education System. In India since 2002, he started working with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) in 2003, specializing in Renewable Energies and Energy Eff iciency between 2006 and 2010. After a year in Berlin as Editor-in-Chief for two magazines on Indian Economy he returned to India and IGCC in 2012 as Advisor for Sustainability and Business Responsibil ity in Industries, supported by the Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM). In this capacity he established the EUREM-Training for Energy Eff iciency Specialists, works with experts on a Water Management Curriculum and looks into sustainability topics related to the National Voluntary Guidelines (NVG)

Mr. Harshad Phadnis Technical Manager- Sustainability

Harshad has more than eight years of multi-disciplinary experience as a technical expert in clean energy technologies, energy eff iciency, learning technologies and automotive production engineering. In his most recent assignment he oversees the promotion and modulation of the energy eff iciency specialist capacity building/ training program to an Indian context in terms of scope of interventions and developing best practise case studies. His engagement will also enable him to leverage his association with water and waste management networks and handle specif ic topics such as the energy-water nexus as well as water-based livelihood themes. With a deep understanding of project development, energy f inancing and regulatory issues he wishes to advance the mission of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce in Sustainability programs for its members and the sector at large.

Ms Prerna Mehta - Manager - Urban Development & Accessibility World Resources Institute, India

Prerna Mehta is an urban sector expert. Presently she is Manager for Integrated Urban Development at WRI India and her work lies at connection of urban planning and sustainable transport. She works on projects related to Transit oriented development, Scaling up of Raahgiri init iative in Delhi, informing policy and informing design approach of large developments for adopting sustainable planning approach. Previously Prerna has worked for government, non-governmental and private/ corporate organizations. She brings about 11 years of experience in research, academics and implementing planning & architecture projects. Her portfolio had projects such as Master Plans, Area & Integrated Development Plans, feasibil ity studies and large scale construction Projects. Urban planning, housing and real estate are her areas of expertise. She is tr ained as an Architect and Town planner.

Mr Umang Jain ? Managing Associate, WRI India Sustainable Cities Umang is a Managing Associate- Integrated Urban Transport at WRI India. He coordinates technical support for integrated urban transport solutions viz public transport, intermediate public transport and non-motorized transport. He also leads FedEx?s Vehicles and Fuels program in India. He has published numerous research papers and won awards for his work. Umang has over 7 years? experience in the f ield of urban transport.

Umang previously worked in project development, technical evaluation and bid process management of mass transit projects, urban transport projects. Umang holds a masters degree in Planning with specialization in Transport from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. He also holds a masters degree in Economics.

SPEAKER Mr. Ashish Jain      Director ? AEON Integrated Building Design Consultants

Ashish Jain heads Sustainability & Green Building business at AEON. He possesses over 13 years of comprehensive work experience in the f ield of Green Buildings, Sustainability, BIM, Interior Design and Architecture. He has been heading Sustainability Groups in India and Dubai during his career and has presented several papers at the various International & Domestic Forums.

As a Sustainability professional, Ashish has a strong professional experience within the f ield of sustainable building design. He has worked on issues such as passive design strategies and energy eff icient design of various building types. His core expertise is in advising Architects, Engineers and other professionals of the building industry in sustainability and positively inf luencing their designs in order to reduce energy consumption and the negative impacts on the environment. -       Member of Indian Institute of Interior Designers -       Fellow at American Academy of Project Management

Vijay Tuteja an architect by profession graduated from Chandigarh College of Architecture, Chandigarh in 1976.

He founded In AWE Design Concepts, a multi disciplinary architecture & design f irm, based in New Delhi, India upon his return from Nigeria in 1992.He was in Nigeria for 13 years with a Brit ish f irm of architects & worked extensively on project for the Federal Govt and Multi National companies. 

He carries 39 years of experience on design of institutional, commercial, gated residential colonies both plotted and group housings, industrial projects & hospitals.

His expertise lies in Design, Design Development, Detailing & Project Management. He has extensive experience in large real estate developments in NCR, Jaipur & Bhubaneshwar.
