PRESENTERS BIOS October 24, 2014 Timothy Fogerty has served as president, CEO, and chairman of Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier since March 2013. Bissinger’s is a premium manufacturer of gourmet chocolate products sold in the United States since 1845. Fogerty led an investment group in the purchase of Bissinger’s in 2012 and became chairman of the board at that time. Under his leadership, the company is achieving significant growth and employs between 125 and 200 team members based on seasonality. Prior to Bissinger’s, Fogerty was owner, president, and CEO of Gateway EDI, a medical claims clearinghouse providing revenue cycle management services. Previously, he incorporated his technical expertise and extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry to develop “game-changing” products, improve employee and customer retention, and expand the company footprint in St. Louis. Under his guidance, Gateway EDI was sold in 2011 to TriZetto, a provider of healthcare solutions to payers and providers. Fogerty serves on the boards of Logos School, Ursuline Academy, Saint Louis University High School, and Mercy Health Foundation. Bickel has always had a keen interest in entrepreneurial businesses and has been involved as both an investor and director of a variety of private and public companies. In 2005, he founded St. Louis Arch Angels, a not-for-profit organization to help finance startup technology companies. Arch Angels members have invested more than $40 million in 54 startup ventures. A firm believer in giving back to the community, he has been actively involved in local government, and local charities. Timothy Fogerty has served as president, CEO, and chairman of Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier since March 2013. Rodney Kinzinger has served as the managing partner of Deloitte’s St. Louis practice since 2008. As Managing Partner, he is responsible for setting the strategic direction of Deloitte’s marketplace strategy for its four primary businesses. He also has direct client service responsibilities for several of Deloitte’s largest St. Louis clients. Kinzinger has spent 23 years with Deloitte and during that time has rotated throughout various leadership positions within its businesses. He also spent from 2001-2009 in New York serving one of the Firm’s largest Industrial conglomerates and Global Private Equity Investor.

RODNEY KINZINGER

Mahendra Gupta joined Olin Business School in 1990, became a chaired professor in 2004, and was appointed dean of the school in 2005. His accounting research has been published in leading academic journals across the world and he is a frequent speaker at research workshops and conferences worldwide. Gupta has been a consultant to various firms and government agencies. He serves on Brown Shoe Company’s board of directors and its audit committee. He is also currently on the board of Junior Achievement, the advisory committees for the Center of the Study of Ethics and Human Values, and the Center for Health Policy, and the academic advisory board for the World Trade Center.

Kathy Mazzarella was appointed the eleventh president and CEO in Graybar history in June 2012, and became chairman of the board of directors in January 2013. She has also served on the board of Graybar Canada from 2004 to 2009. Mazzarella joined the company in 1980 and successfully advanced through roles in customer service, sales, marketing, strategic planning, human resources, and management. With more than $5.7 billion in revenue (2013), Graybar is a Fortune 500 company that specializes in supply chain management services and is a leading North American distributor of high-quality components, equipment, and materials for a number of industries. In 2014, Mazzarella was recognized by the Urban League of Metropolis St. Louis as one of its distinguished women in leadership.

She serves on the boards of the St. Louis Regional Chamber, United Way of Greater St. Louis, Civic Progress, St. Louis Club, and the NAW Institute. Mazzarella’s business achievements and community involvement helped her earn the St. Louis Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” award in 2000. In August, 2004, she was honored as one of the Most Influential Businesswomen in St. Louis—an award also presented by the St. Louis Business Journal. Mazzarella holds an associate degree in telecommunications engineering, a bachelor’s degree in applied behavioral sciences, and an MBA.

Since becoming Medical Transportation Management Inc. (MTM) president and CEO, in 2005, Alaina Maciá has continually taken the non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and healthcare industries to new levels by focusing on strategic planning, management, and business and personal improvement. Maciá is never content with being one of the industry’s NEMT leaders—she wants MTM to be the best, offering innovative solutions that remove community barriers. A leader and a visionary, Maciá directs and prioritizes company actions to ensure competitive advantage, profitable operations, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Maciá has been the recipient of many honors, including being named one of 2012’s Most Influential Businesswomen by the St. Louis Business Journal; she was also named to the publication’s 30 Under 30 class in 2004 and 40 Under 40 class in 2011. Her leadership has helped MTM achieve its place in the Journal’s Top 150 Privately Held Companies, Top 20 Fastest Growing Private Companies, and Top 5 Largest Women-Owned Businesses. Maciá is an active participant in her community as a member of the Washington University Institute of Public Health National Council. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington University and an MBA from Olin Business School.

Wade Miquelon joined Walgreens as a senior vice president and CFO in 2008 and was promoted to executive vice president in 2009. Walgreens is a $72 billion company operating in all 50 states and in 27 countries via its partnership with Alliance Boots. Miquelon held several positions with Procter & Gamble from 1989-2006, 11 years of which he was stationed overseas. His most recent roles were as general manager and head of finance and accounting for Western Europe operations based in Geneva, head of finance and accounting for AAI (the 42 countries of ASEAN, Australasia, and India) based in Singapore, finance director for global IT and venture capital, and finance director of Thailand and Indochina. He served as an executive vice president and CFO of Tyson Foods in Springdale, Arkansas, from 2006 to 2008. Other prior work experiences include engineering and contract negotiations for McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, finance for Anheuser-Busch, and the cofounder of Emmperative, a Silicon Valley marketing enterprise software company. Miquelon serves on the boards of the Shedd Aquarium, Lyric Opera, Acadia Healthcare, and Kerry Wood Foundation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University and an MBA with concentrations in finance and marketing from Olin Business School.

Sharon Price John has been the CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop since June 2013. Founded in St. Louis in 1997, Build-A-Bear Workshop is the only global company that offers an interactive make-your-own-stuffed-animal retail-entertainment experience at approximately 400 stores worldwide.

John has more than 20 years of business experience with an expertise in strategic marketing, product development, innovation, and change management. During her tenure at companies including Hasbro, Mattel, and Wolverine World Wide (WWW), she established a strong track record of success working with a variety of brands and businesses. Before joining Build-A-Bear Workshop, she served as president of the Stride Rite Children’s Group LLC. (SRCG), a division of WWW, and held a range of senior management roles with Hasbro. Prior to that, she worked with Mattel in a number of roles including Marketing Director of Barbie and Vice President of International for the Disney Business Unit.

John’s early career was in the advertising industry working at top agencies in New York including DDB Needham Worldwide on the Hershey account and Bates, USA as the Account Supervisor of the SNICKERS/M&M Mars business. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and an MBA from Columbia University.
