Tips and Lessons Learned

• Go low-tech. Do not rely on technology or handouts.

• Put yourselves in the judge’s shoes.

• Connect with the judges and communicate your purpose, method, and outcomes verbally. Make eye contact.

• Keep the authenticity in your display.

Ask for Help• Talk to a trusted

adult. Ask for their input as needed throughout the process.

• If you need an advisor, let us know.

• Ask for other connections.

Lessons Learned• Don’t get discouraged by setbacks in your project. Many of the most successful people in the world had many setbacks before their success.

• If you are a team, divide tasks based on strengths and weaknesses, but always remember you are working towards a common goal.

“Many of life's failures are people who did not realize

how close they were to success when they gave up.”

― Thomas A. Edison
