I invite you to peruse these pages that salute Berkshire

County’s most outstanding young professionals, recipients

of the inaugural 40 Under Forty awards, presented by

Berkshire Community College.

I would like to first thank the more than 200 individuals who

took the time and effort to nominate over 175 different

candidates for these awards. Our eight judges all com-

mented on the high quality of the entire cohort. The depth

and breadth of their contributions, invested to improve the

quality of life and economic vibrancy of the Berkshires, is particularly impressive.

The selection process was extremely competitive, and we are grateful to everyone

who participated. I’m sure you will enjoy reading the profiles of our honorees, which

appear in this special section.

This publication and the 40 Under Forty awards celebration on March 24 at

Berkshire Hills Country Club would not have been possible without our nominees, the

forty honorees, sponsors, supporters and advertisers. Special thanks to 1Berkshire,

our Strategic Partner and the Berkshire Eagle, our Media partner.

I look forward to meeting many of you at the awards and encourage you to visit our

website at www.berkshirecc.edu/40underforty to purchase tickets. We have had

an enthusiastic response and expect to sell out, if we haven’t already. Thank you all

for supporting Berkshire Community College’s students and programs by participating

in this exciting event.

Congratulations again to our honorees. You should all be proud of your

accomplishments. We celebrate your achievements and thank you for your

contributions to our communities.
