Sign -ariances – Process

• Process is the same as for a ;oning Variance:

o

Public hearing by Planning 7ommission, ando Public hearing by the 7ity 7ouncil.

• Findings of Fact to /e appro3ed:

o  That there are uni)ue physical circumstances or conditions peculiarto the particular property, such as but not limited to irregularity,narrowness or shallowness o' the lot si%e or shape, or an unusual

degree or type o' development proposed on the property, orexceptional topographical or other physical conditions0 and,

o  That because o' such physical circumstances or conditions, signagecannot be erected in strict con'ormity with the provisions o' thischapter without undue hardship to the property owner0 and,

o  That granting the variance will not result in authori%ation o' a typeo' sign not otherwise allowed on the property0 and,

o  That granting the variance will not cause substantial detriment tothe public good.
